Fall Arts Walk is here! We’re open 10 am-8 pm on Friday, October 6. Enjoy art activities and view student artwork. Join us Friday evening 6-8 pm for an art reception with light refreshments showcasing art by local high school students.
LOCATION: Tumwater Valley Golf Course, 4611 Tumwater Valley Dr. SE, Tumwater. See magician Jeff Evans' spectacular magic at the Artesian Family Festival & Thunder Valley Fireworks Show. Afterwards, Jeff will stroll among the masses performing magic tricks. Sponsored by the Friends of the Tumwater Timberland Library. This event is part of Summer Reading, a Timberland Regional Library district-wide program.
The Tumwater Timberland Library will be closed Tuesday, May 9 for staff training. The library will resume its regular schedule Wednesday, May 10. The Tenino Timberland Library will also be closed for training. All other Thurston County Timberland libraries will be open as usual. The documentary film, "Bezango, WA" is being sponsored by the Olympia Historical Society and is coming right up! Thursday, June 2nd, 6:30 PM, Lacey Timberland Library. This film chronicles the art, history and lives of prominent Seattle area cartoonists and comic artists.
A Question & Answer with directors Louise Amandes and Ron Austin and local comic artists will follow the program. Free and open to the Public – for teens and adults.
Come and celebrate the 16th annual Olympia Comics Festival, an event centered on
alternative, arts-for-arts-sake comic books. Two of this year's guests of honor,
Tatiana Gill and Brandon Graham, will present their work, take audience
questions and sign copies of their books. This event will occur after regular
library hours and no other library services will be available.
