EH, Eh, or eh may refer to:
E. H. Calvert (born Elisha Helm Calvert; June 27, 1863 – October 5, 1941) was an American film actor and director. He appeared in more than 170 films, as well as directing a further 60 titles. He was born in Alexandria, Virginia, and died in Hollywood, California.
He was a Spanish–American War veteran who served in Cuba. He was a member of the Adventurers Club of New York.
"O mein Papa" is a German song, as related by a young woman remembering her beloved, once-famous clown father. It was written by Swiss composer Paul Burkhard in 1939 for the musical Der schwarze Hecht (The Black Pike), reproduced in 1950 as Das Feuerwerk (The Firework) to a libretto by Erik Charell, Jürg Amstein, and Robert Gilbert. In 1954, that musical was turned into the film Feuerwerk with Lilli Palmer.
Under the original German title, an instrumental version by trumpeter Eddie Calvert topped the UK Singles Chart in 1954, and was also a Top 10 hit in the US.
It was adapted into English by John Turner and Geoffrey Parsons under the title "Oh! My Pa-Pa". A recording by Eddie Fisher with Hugo Winterhalter's orchestra and chorus was made at Webster Hall, New York City, on December 12, 1953. It was released by RCA Victor Records as catalog number 20-5552 (in US) and by EMI on the His Master's Voice label as catalog number B 10614.
Fisher's recording became a No. 1 hit on the U.S. Billboard chart in 1954. Fisher's version also made the UK Top 10; thus, in the UK, Calvert's version was number one while Fisher's made the top 10, but missed the top spot, and in the U.S., the opposite occurred. Calvert's version was the first UK number one hit recorded at Abbey Road Studios. The song returned to Abbey Road when Brian Fahey conducted an instrumental version in 1960, to be used as a backing track for Connie Francis' English-Yiddish recording for her album Connie Francis Sings Jewish Favorites. Francis overdubbed her vocals in Hollywood. In June 1966, Francis overdubbed the same playback once more, this time with the original German lyrics for her German concept album Melodien, die die Welt erobern.
Russell Hopton (February 18, 1900 – April 7, 1945) was an American film actor. He appeared in 110 films between 1926 and 1945, often playing streetwise characters, from the city. He was born in New York, New York and died of an overdose of sleeping pills in North Hollywood, California.
The Lane Sisters were a family of American singers and actresses. The sisters were Leotabel (Leota) (October 25, 1903 – July 25, 1963), Dorothy (Lola) (May 21, 1906 – June 22, 1981), Rosemary (April 4, 1913 – November 25, 1974), and Priscilla Lane (June 12, 1915 – April 4, 1995).
Lola, Rosemary, and Priscilla Lane had a successful singing act as the "Lane Sisters" that transitioned into film careers, beginning with 1938's Four Daughters, the first of four films in which they starred together. Leota Lane did not find the same success as her sisters and left Hollywood for New York before their breakthrough. A fifth sister, Martha, did not enter show business. Actress Gale Page was not related to the Lane Sisters, but starred as the fourth sister in their films.
The sisters were from a family of five daughters. Leotabel (Leota) (October 25, 1903 – July 25, 1963), Dorothy (Lola) (May 21, 1906 – June 22, 1981), Rosemary (April 4, 1913 – November 25, 1974), and Priscilla (June 12, 1915 – April 4, 1995), were born to Dr. Lorenzo A. Mullican and his wife, Cora Bell Hicks. Their sister, Martha (1905–????) did not enter show business. The first three children had been born in Macy, Indiana, but the family moved in 1907 to Indianola, Iowa, a small college town south of Des Moines. Here Dr. Mullican had a dental practice. The Mullicans owned a large house with 22 rooms, some of which they rented out to students attending nearby Simpson College.

Visited a neighbouring strip that is prone to wind rotor with easterly wind as was on the day. It was fairly windy about 14knts gusting 6knts and the swamp scrub is close to the strip so down low there was wind rotor and at the end of the strip some trees and sheds made the rotor be higher up as well. Halfway through the turn at the end of the first pass instructor called "engine out", so I came off the power and got back down to the strip . My 7th hour flying / lesson so I probably made it look worse than it really was.

Four and a half billion years ago, the young Earth was a hellish place—a seething chaos of meteorite impacts, volcanoes belching noxious gases, and lightning flashing through a thin, torrid atmosphere. Then, in a process that has puzzled scientists for decades, life emerged. But how? Mineralogist Robert Hazen as he journeys around the globe. From an ancient Moroccan market to the Australian Outback, he advances a startling and counterintuitive idea—that the rocks beneath our feet were not only essential to jump-starting life, but that microbial life helped give birth to hundreds of minerals we know and depend on today. It's a theory of the co-evolution of Earth and life that is reshaping the grand-narrative of our planet’s story. New evidence emerges on the origins of life http://phys.or...
