Plot: Double Sided is the story of Kaneesha Johnson and Sarah James, two high school girls on a grueling journey to compete at the state track and field championships. While Kaneesha is a former state champion who is confident in her ability to win, Sarah is a former pianist who has only recently discovered her passion for running. When they meet at an out-of-town meet, the girls have an instant connection. There is only one problem: There is strong racial tension in their hometown of Casterville that frowns upon "race-mixing." As if they are doing something wrong, Sarah and Kaneesha must sneak around in order to continue building their friendship. Eventually, their secret relationship is discovered. They lose friends, confiding in each other their issues both on and off the track. Despite their struggles, they both work hard as the state track and field meet quickly approaches. At this meet, a 13-year-long secret is exposed, shattering everything the girls once thought to be true.

Plot: Mysterious unseen men in black (angels?) collect the souls of the recently dead. When four teenagers "die" in a car wreck, one of these beings ("The Man") is sent to retrieve their souls. However, the teens are disembodied and realize their predicament. They flee. The movie revolves around them being picked off one by one, The Man's infatuation with one of the teenagers (who was apparently his lover in a past life), and the efforts of the teens to reunite their souls with their hospitalized bodies.
