Corey Smith is an Americana singer and guitarist.
Smith grew up in Jackson County. Because of his proximity to the University of Georgia, Smith visited the college town of Athens, Georgia regularly. Smith originally attended Gainesville State College before transferring to the University of West Georgia to be with his current wife. She would eventually attend the University of Georgia alongside Smith. At the University of Georgia, he majored in Social Studies education. He continued to write songs and play for his friends at parties. Corey’s music became popular amongst his peers and his students. He taught world geography, world history and guitar at North Gwinnett High School in Gwinnett County Georgia before deciding to pursue music full-time at the age of 28.
Smith's first album, “Undertones”, contains one of his most requested songs, titled “Twenty One.” The second album Corey released is titled “In the Mood”. Corey Smith made the songs on this record similar to his first one because of the response he got from fans who welcomed the booze-driven lyrics. Corey Smiths’ third album, "The Good Life", was written and released in 2005. The album is titled after Corey's song "The Good Life". Corey completed his fourth album, "Hard-Headed Fool" in 2007, followed by his fifth album, "Keeping Up with the Joneses", in November 2009. His next album titled "The Broken Record" was released on June 21, 2011 on Average Joes Entertainment. "The Broken Record" debuted on the Billboard Country Chart at #17, his highest charting debut to date. In October 2012, Corey released his first live album, "Live In Chattanooga". On December 2, 2014, he released "Maysville in the Meantime", an acoustic album. On June 23, 2015 Smith released "While the Gettin' is Good", his first album with Sugar Hill Records

Corey Smith (born October 3, 1977) is an contemporary American painter, sculptor, photographer, professional snowboarder, and snowboard designer. Smith was the art director at COMUNE, curator and founder of their Drop City artist collective (which he is no longer a part), and a contributing artist for CAPiTA Snowboards. In addition, Smith founded the snowboard company Spring Break Snowboards.
Corey Smith was born in San Francisco, California. In 1996, he graduated from Canby High School, and in 2006, Smith graduated from Pacific Northwest College of Art with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and Photography.
Corey Smith began snowboarding at the age of 16, at his home mountain Mount Hood Meadows. From 2003 to 2006 Smith coached at Windells Snowboard Camp. Smith has appeared in several notable snowboarding feature films such as, Neoproto (2003, Neoproto Films), Everyday Something (2004, Neoproto Films), Some Kinda Life (2005, Neoproto Films), Love/Hate (2005 Kids Know Productions). During Smith's professional snowboarding he was sponsored by CAPiTA Snowboards, Holden, Flux, Electric, ThirtyTwo, Grenade. He has been featured in countless interviews and editorial photos in several international snowboarding magazines such as, Transworld Snowboarding (USA), Snowboarder Magazine (USA), Snowboard Magazine (USA), Future Snowboard (USA), Frequency: The Snowboarder's Journal, Method (Europe), Onboard (Europe), Desillusion (France), Snowboard Canada (Canada), Transfer (New Zealand), Arkade (Utah, USA).
Corey Dominique Smith (October 2, 1979 – March 2009, missing, presumed dead) was an American football defensive end. He was originally signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent in 2002. He played college football at North Carolina State.
Smith also played for the San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions.
On March 1, 2009, the United States Coast Guard reported that a 21-foot fishing boat was missing off the Gulf Coast near Clearwater Pass, Florida. The boat was carrying four passengers, including Smith; Marquis Cooper, a member of the Oakland Raiders; as well as Nick Schuyler and Will Bleakley, former University of South Florida football players. The four men left Clearwater Pass on February 28 at 6:30 a.m. and were expected to return later that night. The Coast Guard Cutter USCGC Tornado began searching for the missing boat shortly after midnight on March 1, 2009. By 1:35 p.m. EST on March 2, 2009, the boat was located, overturned, with Schuyler clinging to it. The other three passengers were not found. According to Schuyler, Cooper separated from the group at 5:30 AM, with Smith disappearing about an hour later. 24 hours later, Bleakley became unresponsive, and despite Schuyler giving him CPR, he also disappeared. Schuyler was found less than six hours later. The search for the three men who remained missing ended at sundown on March 3, 2009. Friends and relatives organized a private search which was called off several days later.
