UNDP promotes improved livelihoods and efficient cookstoves in Kenyase No. 3

UNDP donated ¢20,000 and eight pieces of Gari ElephantsTM to the Kenyase No. 3 Cassava Processing Association in the Brong Ahafo Region. The gesture was to enhance the productive capacity of women in the community for sustainable livelihoods and to promote cookstoves that are energy efficient and environmentally friendly.

Adaptation Fund Project - Call for Concept Note

The Government of Ghana has received a grant from the Adaptation Fund Secretariat and intends to apply part of the funds to create emerging income generating opportunities in livelihood diversification that would shift communities away from purely climate dependent sectors. Accordingly, the Adaptation Fund Project announces the 2017 "call for concept notes" to award small grants of up to US$50,000 to Civil Society and Community-based Organizations for the most innovative initiatives

Three receive awards to improve access to safe water in Ghana

Three social innovators – Saha Global, TREND and CONIWAS – have received grant awards totalling US$ 112,000 to implement initiatives that boost access to universal safe and affordable water in Ghana.
