Perth 'Spud King' Tony Galati stayed true to his word on Tuesday and paid his pint-sized clone Joshua Gonzales a visit at his school, leaving a sizeable donation.
Joshua, 9, from East Fremantle, drew Galati's attention after dressing up as the Spud King himself for book week and writing his autobiography.

Joshua's mum, a mother-of-four, said her kids had always liked the Spud Shed ads on TV and all of them could recite his catch-phrase 'what, no potatoes?'.
"All my kids love the ads on TV and I think with my Italian heritage they just love having a laugh... my dad thought it was hilarious," Ari Gonzalez said.
She said Mr Galati spoke at length with Joshua, the school's principal Scott Harris and herself.
"He was such a lovely, genuine and kind man, very humble," she said.
Mr Galati donated gave the school a cheque for over $1000 to buy books and offered to return to Joshua's class for a reading session.
He also promised them seedlings for the school's edible garden and said there would be a job waiting for Joshua at Spud Shed, if he wanted it, once he turned 14.
Joshua's family was also given a $200 Spudshed voucher as reward for his ingenious book week costume.
