Alpine forecast

After 10-15cm of fresh snow on the weekend, mostly sunny days and frosty nights and mornings are now taking over. The cold nights will be ideal for snow-guns to top up the natural cover which is at a near-season high. Only on Wednesday will there be fresh snow and only light, confined to Mt Baw Baw due to a weak front.

Unfortunately it will warm up then rain next weekend, causing some snow to melt. However, fresh snow will begin falling on Sunday night and fall progressively lower and heavy at times into next week with help from successive cold fronts. This should more than make up for the snow melt and potentially take the natural depth higher than it is now.
