CAMPUS CRAWL is the series where I take you to the best college campuses across the world! I'll show you the student life, campus culture, and interesting traditions each school has to offer. Hopefully, it'll inspire you to go explore your dreams.
The University of Washington or UW (pronounced "udub") as the students call it, is often referred to as the Public Ivy Leauge of the Westcoast. Basically, it's the Harvard of west.
I loved the college campus layout and architecture. Everything just works so well together. Suzzallo Library was my favorite. It's literally the Harry Potter room. It's HUGE - the biggest study hall I've seen thus far. I can imagine myself flying brooms in it.
During our college vlog, we first visited the Red Square. This is the center of University of Washington.
Then we went straight to The Quad. This is like the Harvard Yard, except even prettier! The Quad has red brick buildings and a huge grass field just like Harvard, but it's also covered with cherry blossom trees. So in the spring, it's absolutely stunning.
Afterward, we went to the Husky stadium - the home of the Huskies! UW loves the Huskies. Go Dawgs!
Right by the stadium is a lake. The University of Washington has a special tradition called "Sailgating." It's like tailgating, but instead hosting a pre-game party in the trunk of your car, the party is on a boat.
Then we went to check out the electrical computer engineering classrooms. Fun Fact: UW's computer lab is where Bill Gates first developed his interest for computers.
Lastly we went to the Suzzallo Library. It's magical.
Overall, student life at UW is vibrant and full of spirit. The bad thing is that Seattle rains too much.

Hi everyone! If you’re new to my channel, my name is Jessica, and I’m a second-year student at the University of Washington. It’s currently college decision season, and I recognize that a lot of people turn to YouTube for advice, so I decided to make my own video stating all the reasons why you shouldn’t commit to UW. I will say that I feel that the pros outweigh the cons, and that is why I decided to attend this school. Campus tour
A campus tour is a tour of a college or university's campus. Prospective students, their family members and other visitors take campus tours to learn about the college or university's facilities, as well as student life, culture on campus, academics, and programs offered by the institution. During these tours prospective students are able to learn about the built environment, the physical/sensory environment, the sound environment, and the visual environment of the institution. These tours are normally walking tours that typically last anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes, and groups are usually between ten and thirty visitors. Campus tours are often preceded by an information session, presented by a member of the admissions staff. Many campus tours include a visit to a residence hall room and a classroom or lecture hall. At most schools, tours are led by students, although admissions office staff or other representatives of the school may also be tour guides. At some institutions, becoming a student tour guide is a rigorous process and the job is a respected position on campus. University of Washington station
University of Washington Station will be an underground Sound Transit University Link light rail station near the University of Washington in Seattle. It is scheduled to open along with the rest of the University Link project on March 19, 2016. Sound Transit estimates that there will be 21,500 daily boardings at the station in 2030.
Location
The University of Washington, or UW, Station is deep underground beneath what is now the Husky Stadium parking lot. Its entrance is located adjacent to Husky Stadium, east of Montlake Boulevard between NE Pacific Street and NE Pacific Place. A curving pedestrian bridge connects the station with Rainier Vista on the UW campus. One can access the bridge from just north of the Burke-Gilman Trail in the Rainier Vista, from the Triangle Plaza, and from the station itself.
Construction
The tunneling contract from UW station to Capitol Hill station came in under-budget by $86 million, or nearly 22%, in March 2009. A groundbreaking ceremony for the station was held in February 2009, and initial excavation began shortly thereafter. Construction of the deep slurry walls and excavation of the station box structure took place in 2010 and 2011. Tunneling toward the Capitol Hill station began in 2011 and was completed in 2012. Construction of the UW station was completed in 2015, and revenue service is scheduled to begin in 2016.

CAMPUS CRAWL is the series where I take you to the best college campuses across the world! I'll show you the student life, campus culture, and interesting traditions each school has to offer. Hopefully, it'll inspire you to go explore your dreams.
The University of Washington or UW (pronounced "udub") as the students call it, is often referred to as the Public Ivy Leauge of the Westcoast. Basically, it's the Harvard of west.
I loved the college campus layout and architecture. Everything just works so well together. Suzzallo Library was my favorite. It's literally the Harry Potter room. It's HUGE - the biggest study hall I've seen thus far. I can imagine myself flying brooms in it.
During our college vlog, we first visited the Red Square. This is the center of University of Washington.
Then we went straight to The Quad. This is like the Harvard Yard, except even prettier! The Quad has red brick buildings and a huge grass field just like Harvard, but it's also covered with cherry blossom trees. So in the spring, it's absolutely stunning.
Afterward, we went to the Husky stadium - the home of the Huskies! UW loves the Huskies. Go Dawgs!
Right by the stadium is a lake. The University of Washington has a special tradition called "Sailgating." It's like tailgating, but instead hosting a pre-game party in the trunk of your car, the party is on a boat.

CAMPUS CRAWL is the series where I take you to the best college campuses across the world! I'll show you the student life, campus culture, and interesting traditions each school has to offer. Hopefully, it'll inspire you to go explore your dreams.
The University of Washington or UW (pronounced "udub") as the students call it, is often referred to as the Public Ivy Leauge of the Westcoast. Basically, it's the Harvard of west.
I loved the college campus layout and architecture. Everything just works so well together. Suzzallo Library was my favorite. It's literally the Harry Potter room. It's HUGE - the biggest study hall I've seen thus far. I can imagine myself flying brooms in it.
During our college vlog, we first visited the Red Square. This is the center of University of Washington.
Then we went straight to The Quad. This is like the Harvard Yard, except even prettier! The Quad has red brick buildings and a huge grass field just like Harvard, but it's also covered with cherry blossom trees. So in the spring, it's absolutely stunning.
Afterward, we went to the Husky stadium - the home of the Huskies! UW loves the Huskies. Go Dawgs!
Right by the stadium is a lake. The University of Washington has a special tradition called "Sailgating." It's like tailgating, but instead hosting a pre-game party in the trunk of your car, the party is on a boat.
Then we went to check out the electrical computer engineering classrooms. Fun Fact: UW's computer lab is where Bill Gates first developed his interest for computers.
Lastly we went to the Suzzallo Library. It's magical.
Overall, student life at UW is vibrant and full of spirit. The bad thing is that Seattle rains too much.

Hi everyone! If you’re new to my channel, my name is Jessica, and I’m a second-year student at the University of Washington. It’s currently college decision season, and I recognize that a lot of people turn to YouTube for advice, so I decided to make my own video stating all the reasons why you shouldn’t commit to UW. I will say that I feel that the pros outweigh the cons, and that is why I decided to attend this school. Campus tour
A campus tour is a tour of a college or university's campus. Prospective students, their family members and other visitors take campus tours to learn about the college or university's facilities, as well as student life, culture on campus, academics, and programs offered by the institution. During these tours prospective students are able to learn about the built environment, the physical/sensory environment, the sound environment, and the visual environment of the institution. These tours are normally walking tours that typically last anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes, and groups are usually between ten and thirty visitors. Campus tours are often preceded by an information session, presented by a member of the admissions staff. Many campus tours include a visit to a residence hall room and a classroom or lecture hall. At most schools, tours are led by students, although admissions office staff or other representatives of the school may also be tour guides. At some institutions, becoming a student tour guide is a rigorous process and the job is a respected position on campus. Most University’s offer handicap accessibility and/or walk-in tour options (call the University directly for more information)”.
