The hills and lakes of Seattle, Washington are a direct result of multiple Puget Lobe advances during the Ice Age. Beneath the drumlins, outwash, glacial troughs, and scattered glacial erratics lies the Seattle Fault, an active fault which has produced numerous magnitude 6 or higher earthquakes since the Ice Age. Interstate 90 exposes much of this geology in its first few miles heading east from downtown. The freeway begins on old tidelands that were filled by early residents of Seattle. Hills composed of soft glacial deposits were moved and dumped into Elliot Bay to make new land for a growing city. Today’s SODO district - including stadiums for the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Mariners - sits on filled tidelands that are especially prone to seismic shaking during the next big ear...
20 years worth of footage of the Southern Resident Orcas of Puget Sound. This is all taken from Lime Kiln Point, San Juan Islands Washington. These Orcas (and many other marine animals) face problems in the wild including pollution and diminishing food sources. Beautiful scenery in every direction on the Keystone Ferry to Port Townsend, not every day is rainy in the Pacific Northwest, as a matter of fact this was during a heatwave with temperatures in Seattle reaching into the 90's F. a loop of the Olympic Peninsula has to include at least one ferry crossing to experience the Pacific, and it is very affordable. The crossing here with a car and 2 people was less than $15 dollars. On some days you might even catch a glimpse of some killer whales and if it is raining then take it in stride, everything has its beauty. Hedrick Smith investigates the state of Puget Sound's environment, where decades of pollution have endangered the orca whales, whose carcasses have shown high levels of cancer-causing PCBs.

Over 7,500 HUGE ships come and go from the Puget Sound each year. In this edition of Daily Life we find out what it takes to bring those ships to dock.

Scuba diving at keystone marine with extreme puget sound currents with lots of monster lingcod and rockfish. The lingcod come out after me with there razor sharp teeth. The currents were so tremendous if you went out past the rocks it would have taken you out to sea. Even with these extreme conditions the visibility was great! With Undersea Adventures from Kennewick WA and Phantom divers.
Jaimie and I decided to take her parents out crabbing and fishing in the Puget Sound. We launched from the Everett Marina and headed north towards the Tulalip Bubble to throw our pots out and try our luck with Chinook Salmon while we waited on the crab pots. We tried to jig for salmon but the current was too strong so we decided to pull our pots up and head west towards Whidbey Island. By the time we got there the winds had died down and the tides stopped pulling so we threw our lines out to catch some flat fish. We left the day with 10 Dungeness Crabs, 2 Rock Crabs, and 10 Flat Fishes. An island of urbanity surrounded by evergreen forests, towering mountains, and the waters of Puget Sound, Seattle is well-deserving of its Emerald City nickname. You'll want at least a day or two to explore its natural and cosmopolitan attractions.

I made this for a grade in Digital media. Have a good summer everyone!
everybody came and went
summers number one event
left early on and spent
the next day sinking
we should just live here
the water looks so clear
an unholy union
bubbles she blew then
let us all down
sit the wrong way on a train
two of these will ease her pain
find someone else to blame
and come back Tuesday
hasn't she grown so
you weren't around? oh...
hasn't she grown so
you weren't around? oh...
you don't even know me
but yes you can hold me
how does that sound?
driving round the Puget Sound
find you at the lost and found
it's easy to astound
if someone needs you
but there's a bright side
you could say you tried
you don't even know me
but yes you can hold me
how does that sound?
but there's a bright side
