Bobby Parker (born 27 March 1891) was a Scottish professional footballer.
Born in Glasgow, Taylor started off his career at Rangers before moving to play for Everton in 1913 for a fee of £1,500. He finished top goalscorer for Everton in the 1913/14 and 1914/15 seasons, the latter of which he was top scorer overall in the First Division. The First World War robbed him from cementing a place amongst Everton's greats as he returned home with a bullet lodged in his back. The injury made him a shadow of his former self and he was later sold to Nottingham Forest.
In retirement he worked as manager of Irish club Bohemians where he coached them to the Clean Sweep in 1927/28; winning the League of Ireland, FAI Cup, Shield and Leinster Senior Cup.
Robert Lee "Bobby" Parker (August 31, 1937 – October 31, 2013), was an American blues-rock guitarist, singer and songwriter. He is best known for his 1961 song "Watch Your Step", a single for the V-Tone record label which reached the Billboard Hot 100; the song was performed by, and influenced, the Beatles among others.
Born in Lafayette, Louisiana, but raised in Los Angeles, California, Parker first aspired to a career in entertainment at a young age. By the 1950s, Parker had started working on electric guitar with several blues and R&B bands of the time, with his first stint being with Otis Williams and the Charms. Over the next few years, he also played lead guitar with Bo Diddley (including an appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show), toured with Paul Williams, Sam Cooke, Jackie Wilson, LaVern Baker, Clyde McPhatter, and the Everly Brothers. He first recorded, as Bobby Parks, with the Paul Williams band in 1956.
His first solo single, "Blues Get Off My Shoulder", was recorded in 1958, while he was still working primarily with Williams' band. The B-side, "You Got What It Takes", also written by Parker, was later recorded for Motown by Marv Johnson, but with the songwriting credited to Berry Gordy, Gwen Fuqua and Roquel Davis. Parker told the Forgotten Hits newsletter in 2008:

Plot: Denny Roberts and his college-age friends are somewhat jealous of Denny's underage brother, Joe, who idolizes them all. The older young men treated young Joe as a nuisance and spend much of their time trying to avoid him in the waning days of summer vacation in their small hometown of Mound City, Florida. With only a few weeks left before returning to college, Denny hits on an idea that he thinks will get the young pest out of their hair once and for all. The older boys produce a fake letter of introduction that fabricates a fictional friendship between the famous billionaire businessman Howard Hughes and the letter's signor. They give the letter to Joe and encourage him to go on what they believe will be an elaborate prank. Innocent Joe is grateful for the opportunity and spends all of his summer job earnings on an airplane ticket to travel from Florida to Nevada for a chance to meet Hughes at his Las Vegas penthouse hideaway. Armed with the phony letter and God's promises that all things work together for good, Joe, in fact, is able to meet the richest man in America and strike up a friendship. As Joe is prospering, the fortunes of the older boys go in the opposite direction. They lose track of young Joe while they focus on their very survival. In their minds, they wonder if God is punishing them for their deception of the younger Roberts? Never learning of Joe's success in meeting Hughes, they also fear that when Joe finally returns home he will retaliate for the elaborate ruse. The depth of God's forgiveness is put to the test by all of the young men, for several very different reasons. What started as a joke, turns deadly serious and it is determined that true forgiveness is no joke. Set in 1970, the film stars newcomer Evan Schwalb and features Miss Gena Burghoff and Jeff Wise, as Howard Hughes.
