The CW

The CW Television Network (most commonly referred to as The CW) is an American broadcast television network that is operated by The CW Network, LLC, a limited liability joint venture between CBS Corporation, the former owners of the United Paramount Network (UPN), and the Warner Bros. Entertainment division of Time Warner, former majority owner of The WB Television Network. The "CW" name is an initialism derived from the first letters of the names of its two parent corporations (CBS and Warner Bros.).

The network made its debut on September 18, 2006, after its two predecessors, UPN and The WB, respectively ceased independent operations on September 15 and September 17 of that year. The CW's first two nights of programming – on September 18 and 19, 2006 – consisted of reruns and launch-related specials. The CW marked its formal launch date on September 20, 2006, with the two-hour premiere of the seventh cycle of America's Next Top Model. The network's programming lineup is intended to appeal mainly to young adults between the ages of 18 and 34. The network currently runs programming six days a week: airing Monday through Fridays in the afternoon and in prime time, along with a Saturday morning live-action educational programming block produced by Litton Entertainment called One Magnificent Morning.

Southside (record producer)

Joshua Howard Luellen (born February 2, 1989), professionally known as Southside, or by his stage name Young Sizzle, is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer. He gained recognition in the hip hop industry for producing songs by several Southern hip hop artists. Southside produced the majority of Waka Flocka Flame's albums Triple F Life: Friends, Fans & Family and Ferrari Boyz. In 2010, Southside and his fellow 1017 label-mate Lex Luger, established their production group 808 Mafia, where Southside currently is at the helm of the group. The basis for his stage name came from the place from where Luellen grew up, Southside, Atlanta.

Musical career

Southside grew up in the Southside region of Atlanta, Georgia. Growing up, he was an accomplished baseball player and excelled in numerous baseball position but eventually gave up the sport after suffering a head concussion when a ball was thrown toward his head. He started making beats when he was 14 years old, when he got his first computer. It was around his mid teenage years that Southside decided to start take music production as a serious career path. He was later discovered by then unknown rapper Waka Flocka Flame when he was 17 and through Waka's network, Gucci Mane eventually signed him to his label 1017 Brick Squad Records. At Bricksquad Records, Luellen met Lex Luger, who was another producer for Waka Flocka, and the two started working together to lay the production groundwork for Waka Flocka's debut album.

Flash (comics)

The Flash is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Harry Lampert, the original Flash first appeared in Flash Comics #1 (January 1940).

Nicknamed the "Scarlet Speedster", the "Crimson Comet", "The Blur", and "The Streak", all incarnations of the Flash possess "super speed", which includes the ability to run and move extremely fast, use superhuman reflexes, and seemingly violate certain laws of physics. Thus far, four different characters—each of whom somehow gained the power of "super-speed"—have assumed the identity of the Flash: Jay Garrick (1940–present), Barry Allen (1956–1985, 2008–present), Wally West (1986–2006, 2007–2012, 2013–present), and Bart Allen (2006–2007). Before Wally and Bart's ascension to the mantle of the Flash, they were both Flash protégés under the same name Kid Flash (Bart was also known as Impulse).

The second incarnation of the Flash, Flash (Barry Allen), is part of the Silver Age of comic books. Each version of the Flash has been a key member of at least one of DC's premier teams: the Justice Society of America, the Justice League, and the Teen Titans.

808 Mafia

808 Mafia is an American hip hop production team, founded by Lex Luger and Southside that is signed to Brick Squad Monopoly. The group also includes producers, Purps, Tarentino, Be-Bop, Fuse, Tre Pound, OG Taxx, Chris Fresh, DY On The Track, YoshiTheGod,TT, The Swede, KingTruth, Migrayne, Steve Lean.

History

808 Mafia was founded in 2010 when rapper Waka Flocka Flame came up with the idea of a production team, made of his frequent collaborators Lex Luger and Southside. The group quickly expanded, adding a number of upcoming and affiliated producers, and is currently signed to Waka Flocka's label Brick Squad Monopoly. 808 Mafia has produced tracks for many notable artists such as Gucci Mane, Waka Flocka, Future, 2 Chainz, Meek Mill, Young Thug, Soulja Boy and DJ Drama among others. Its members have also independently worked on songs with Kanye West, Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross, Fabolous, Pusha T, and Wiz Khalifa.

The group released its debut self-titled instrumental mixtape in 2012, hosted by Trap-A-Holics. The mixtape was produced by and served as an introduction to 5 of its members: TM88 (credited as Trackman), Be-Bop, Purps, Bobby Beats, and Tarentino. A sequel called 808 Mafia II was announced for release on December 21, 2012, but was later delayed multiple times. In March 2013, a trailer for the tape was released to the team's YouTube channel.808 Mafia II was released on April 23, 2013, via LiveMixtapes. It was hosted by Trap-A-Holics, DJ Scream and DJ Drama, and features production by Southside, TM88, Purps, Tarentino, Fuse, Chris Fresh, OG Taxx and Be Bop.
