He is born to Lakshmi Narayana and Ranganayakamma as Rangavajhula Ranga Rao of Kondiparru village near Gudivada. He began his career as a stenographer in Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. He has passion about theater arts and performed poignant roles on stage. He began his film career with Saakshi in 1960 directed by Bapu. Then onwards, he became known by this screen name. He had acted in about 450 films lasting about four decades. Majority of them are of Comedy in nature.
He had the distinction of acting in most of the Telugu film directed by K. Vishwanath, Bapu and Vamsi. He has acted in the successful films like `Sirivennela', `Swarna Kamalam', `April 1st Vidudhala', `Joker' and `Swarabhishekam.
He died after prolonged illness in 2005 in Chennai at the age of 63 years. The apparent cause of death was Diabetes Mellitus and associated Renal failure. He is survived by wife, two sons and a daughter. Television actor Saakshi Siva is his youngest son.

Murali Mohan born on June 24, 1940 in Chataparru village, Andhra Pradesh, India. His father Madhava Rao Garu was a freedom fighter. After he finished schooling in his village, he went to Eluru for higher education but failed. He shifted gears in 1963 and started his own business dealing in electrical motors and oil engines. Also, as a hobby, he acted in stage dramas in Vijayawada. In 1973, Murali Mohan debuted in films as a leading man for a famous producer, Poornachandra Rao Atluri, who was looking for a fresh face. Even though, the film "Jagame Maya" (1973) received a positive response, Murali Mohan continued to struggle for another break, until a famous director Narayana Rao Dasari cast him in the film "Tirupati" (1974). Dasari was impressed with his performance and cast him in 40 more films. In 1975, Murali Mohan wrapped up his business and shifted to Madras to concentrate fully in films. He acted in 350 movies. He said that the period between 1975 and 1985 was his best phase in his film career. He is the first person to act in Television serials from the Telugu film industry. In 1990, he retired as a leading man and opted to act in the character roles. After taking a break from active Cinema, he served in various positions in National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) and the regional Film Development Corporation (FDC) in Andhra Pradesh. In addition, he is the Honorary President of the Telugu Movie Artists Association. He has also been an active member of the Telugu Desam Party.
In 1980 he formed his own production company with his brother Kishore titled Jayabheri Productions, and his first movie as producer was "Varala Abbay" directed by the noted filmmaker K. Balachander. It also turned to be Murali Mohan's 100th film. Till now Jayabheri has produced about 25 films.
Murali Mohan has ventured into the real estate business. He further said that he would use a portion of his earnings to help poor students and encourage them toward a better life. Since its inception "Murali Mohan Charitable Trust" has adopted nearly 1000 students of Engineering & Medicine. Eligible students have been funded irrespective of caste and creed.
Murali Mohan is married to Jalandhara, with whom he has a son Ram Mohan, and a daughter Madhu Bindu.
He is very positive minded person, and health conscious person. He owns the film production company "Jayabheri Arts" and has produced many successful movies along with his brother Kishore.He has started the successful Jayabheri group, building flats in the high-tech city of Hyderabad. His original name is Raja Babu.

Having won accolades in his own profession, Mr. Murali Mohan, a keen social activist and visionary, felt that he should contribute his might to the betterment of the society as a part of his social commitment. This he felt could be achieved by promoting Education to the Poor people who are very good at studies and cannot afford for the Further Higher studies because of their poor financial and Social Status.
His mission is to fund education initiatives of poor communities who on their own are not able to attract funding from government and NGOs, because they lack the necessary institutionalization, access and skills.
The Idea behind this trust is to adopt the poor people who cannot afford the Higher education (Engineering, Medicine, IIT, Other PG Courses). The basic eligibility will be 85% in both SSC and Intermediate and below 10,000 Rank in EAMCET or any other preferred Entrance Tests. The students will be taken into consideration only after the full pledged screening for both their financial and social status. Their vision is to Adopt 1000 People by the year 2010 and by 2015 Trust want to create a corpus fund of 100 crores and want to make it as Lifelong survival for the adopted students.
Since its inception “Murali Mohan Charitable Trust” has adopted nearly 1000 students of Engineering & Medicine. Eligible students have been funded irrespective of caste & Creed.

Sobhan Babu () (January 14, 1937 – March 20, 2008) was an Indian film actor in Telugu cinema. Born as Uppu Sobhana Chalapathi Rao to a middle-class family, Sobhan went on to become a romantic icon and was one of the top Tollywood heros for two decades. He made his film debut with Daivabalam directed by Vasanthkumar Reddy, but his first film to hit the screens was Bhakta Sabari.
Babu completed his initial schooling in Kuntamukkula Mylavaram. He pursued his Intermediate in Vijayawada and finished his degree at Andhra-Christian College in Guntur. Later, he studied law in Chennai, but ultimately discontinued it.
He married Shanta Kumari on 15 May 1958; they had a son, Karuna Seshu and three daughters: Mrudula, Prashanti and Nivedita.
Veerabhimanyu (1965) was his first movie as a "solo hero". This movie turned out to be a big hit. After this, however, he still played small roles in many films in order to earn money for his family. After the huge success of Manushulu Maarali, he acted in films until 1997. His film Manushulu Maarali ran for 25 weeks, which was a record at that time. His first colour film was Kannavari Kalalu. He performed a dual role for the first time in Potti Pleader.
The highlight of Shoban Babu's career was the three consecutive Filmfare awards he won between 1974-1976 (1974 for Khaidi Babayi, 1975 for Jeevana Jyothi, and 1976 for Soggadu). This was a record for the Telugu film industry. Babu was only the second actor (after Dilip Kumar) to receive three consecutive Filmfare trophies. He was honored with several Nandi Awards by the state of Andhra Pradesh. He was given the honorific "Natabooshana", which became his last name in movie credits.
His rise in the acting industry was also a boon to producers with Babu's successive hits including Veerabhimanyu, Manushulu Marali, Kalyana Mandapam, and Tahsildhargaari Ammaayi, which earned Babu a large fan base.
Sobhanbabu had paired up with Sharada for several films and they were a hit pair. It was a unique combination. Sobhan Babu known for his glamour and Sarada for her outstanding, performance-oriented roles.
Sobhan Babu is known for his glamor. A single strand of hair (may be a couple) curled down on his forehead was his trademark style. It was so popular that every Telugu moviegoer would instantly recognize it as his style.
Though several senior artists had lost their earnings either by producing films or in some other way, Sobhanbabu had a planned career. He invested all his earnings in real estate. After his retirement he lead a peaceful life with a complete happy family with sons, daughters, sons-in-law and daughters-in-law and grandchildren like a real life hero.
Sobhan Babu passed away on March 20, 2008 due to a heart attack at the age of 71.
Writer and film journalist Akella Raghavendra wrote a book on Sobhan Babu, titled Sobhan Babu Jeevita Charitra-Parugu Aapadam O Kala.
