Former University of Queensland employee charged with fraud by CCC

A former University of Queensland employee and another Brisbane man have been charged with fraud and uttering by the Crime and Corruption Commission.

The 53-year-old former UQ employee from Moggill was charged with two counts of fraud to dishonestly gain benefit or advantage, one count of forgery and one count of uttering.

A second 53-year-old man, from Eatons Hill, was charged with one count of forgery and one of uttering.

The CCC alleged the fraud charges related to the misuse of a university travel card, and the forge and utter charges related to the issuing of a fake invoice.

Both men were expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on September 11.

UQ declined to comment as the matter was now before the court.
