Sculpture

Sculpture is the branch of the visual arts that operates in three dimensions. It is one of the plastic arts. Durable sculptural processes originally used carving (the removal of material) and modelling (the addition of material, as clay), in stone, metal, ceramics, wood and other materials but, since modernism, shifts in sculptural process led to an almost complete freedom of materials and process. A wide variety of materials may be worked by removal such as carving, assembled by welding or modelling, or molded, or cast.

Sculpture in stone survives far better than works of art in perishable materials, and often represents the majority of the surviving works (other than pottery) from ancient cultures, though conversely traditions of sculpture in wood may have vanished almost entirely. However, most ancient sculpture was brightly painted, and this has been lost.

Sculpture has been central in religious devotion in many cultures, and until recent centuries large sculptures, too expensive for private individuals to create, were usually an expression of religion or politics. Those cultures whose sculptures have survived in quantities include the cultures of the Ancient Mediterranean, India and China, as well as many in South America and Africa.

The Legend of Zelda (Japanese: ゼルダの伝説, Hepburn: Zeruda no Densetsu) is a high-fantasy action-adventure video game series created by Japanese game designers Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka. It is primarily developed and published by Nintendo, although some portable installments have been outsourced to Capcom, Vanpool, and Grezzo. The series' gameplay incorporates elements of action, adventure, and puzzle-solving games. The Legend of Zelda is one of Nintendo's most prominent franchises.

The series centers on Link, the playable character and chief protagonist. Link is often given the task of rescuing Princess Zelda and the kingdom of Hyrule from Ganon, who is the principal antagonist of the series; however, other settings and antagonists have appeared in several titles. The games' plots commonly involve a relic known as the Triforce, a set of three omnipotent golden triangles. The protagonist in each game is usually not the same incarnation of Link, but a few exceptions exist.

Jordu Schell

Jordu Schell (born June 5, 1967) is a renowned American sculptor and concept artist who has been working in the film and television industries for over twenty years.

Career

Jordu Schell began his career as a sculptor and Halloween mask maker. He primarily sculpts in clay and other physical materials, rather than in CGI or in 2-D drawings, although he works in those forms as well.

Schell first started designing FX for Hollywood on Bride of Re-Animator, and went on from there to work with Stan Winston on such movies as Predator 2, Edward Scissorhands, and Batman Returns. In television, he designed aliens for the opening season of Babylon 5.

From 2005-2007, Schell was instrumental in the design of the Na'vi and other creatures in James Cameron's movie Avatar, shaping the designs of the characters with physical sculptures when Cameron felt that the CGI designs were not capturing his vision. Schell sculpted numerous maquettes to help solidify the look of the Na'vi race, often working in the kitchen of Cameron's Malibu home.

Zahid Hasan

Zahid Hasan (Bengali: জাহিদ হাসান, born October 4) is a Bangladesh actor who has performed in film, television and theatre. Zahid has been working as a famous actor in the showbiz arena of Bangladesh since 1990s. Zahid Hasan is such a brilliant actor who already has proved his intelligence as actor in the various dramas and cinemas. He is an excellent small screen actor as well as a successful TV commercial model.

Early life

Zahid Hasan was born on October 4 to Ilias Uddin Talukdar and Hamida Begum at grandparent’s house in Sirajganj, Bangladesh. His father was a custom superintend and mother was a housewife. His mother, Hamida Begum died on November 27, 2014 at Samarita Hospital in capital. Zahid Hasan is the younger son of his parents among eight siblings; he has four brothers and three sisters. Zahid came to Dhaka from home district to build up career in any working sector, rather turned himself into a country famous actor.

Career

A native of Sirajganj, Bangladesh, Hasan was part of a theatre group for several years before moving to television in 1990. He took the lead in the BTV adaptation of Rabindranath Tagore's Shomapti and the protagonist in Bichchhu. While he made his first film appearance in 1986, his most notable role was in 2000's Srabon Megher Din, for which he won a national award. In addition to acting, he has directed several serials and teleplays.
