Serbia (i/ˈsɜːrbiə/, Serbian: Србија / Srbija, IPA: [sř̩bija]), officially the Republic of Serbia (Serbian: Република Србија / Republika Srbija), is a sovereign state situated at the crossroads between Central and Southeast Europe, covering the southern part of the Pannonian Plain and the central Balkans. Serbia is landlocked and borders Hungary to the north; Romania and Bulgaria to the east; Macedonia to the south; and Croatia, Bosnia, and Montenegro to the west; it also claims a border with Albania through the disputed territory of Kosovo. The capital of Serbia, Belgrade, is one of the largest cities in Southeast Europe. Serbia numbers around 7 million residents.
Following the Slavic migrations to the Balkans from the 6th century onwards, Serbs established several states in the early Middle Ages. The Serbian Kingdom obtained recognition by Rome and Constantinople in 1217; it reached its peak in 1346 as a relatively short-lived Serbian Empire. By the mid-16th century, the entire territory of modern-day Serbia was annexed by the Ottoman Empire, at times interrupted by the Habsburgs. In the early 19th century, the Serbian Revolution established the nation-state as the region's first constitutional monarchy, which subsequently expanded its territory. Following disastrous casualties in World War I, and subsequent unification of Habsburg crownland of Vojvodina with Serbia, the country co-founded Yugoslavia with other South Slavic peoples, which would exist in various political formations until the Yugoslav Wars of the 1990s, which had devastating effects for the region. As a result, Serbia formed a union with Montenegro in 1992, which broke apart in 2006, when Serbia again became an independent country. In 2008 the parliament of Kosovo, Serbia's southern province with an Albanian ethnic majority, declared independence, with mixed responses from the international community.
Nikola Vuković (Serbian Cyrillic: Никола Вуковић; born 5 October 1996) is a Serbian football forward who plays for Metalac Gornji Milanovac in the Serbian SuperLiga.
Born in Gornji Milanovac, Vuković passed the youth school of Metalac Gornji Milanovac, and was a member of generation which made promotion to the best level Serbian youth league in 2014. He made his debut for first team in the last fixture of 2014–15 Serbian First League season, against Radnik Surdulica. Vuković was loaned to Karađorđe Topola for the first half of 2015–16 season. He made his first Serbian SuperLiga appearance for Metalac in the 19th fixture of 2015–16 season, in away match against Radnički Niš.
Državni posao is a Serbian television comedy show starring Dimitrije Banjac, Nikola Škorić and Dejan Ćirjaković. They are also authors of the show. The show began airing in August 2012. It is one of the most-watched TV shows and TV programmes of the Radio Television of Vojvodina.
The show has the format of a three-character chamber play with each episode depicting another work day at the archive department of an unnamed state-owned company in Novi Sad. Torbica, Boškić and Čvarkov are fellow employees sharing the same office.
They are often talking and discussing the current events in the country including sports, entertainment, films, TV series, and politics. The show also features a variety of unseen characters that are only referenced in the conversations between the three characters.
Đorđe Čvarkov is the chief archivist in the office. With only four years left before becoming eligible for retirement, he spent most of his career at the company, though prior to working at the archive department, he used to be the company's chief financial officer under the CEO term of his good friend Marjanović. However, both got removed from their posts and demoted in 1988 in the midst of the so-called Yogurt Revolution. Still embittered about this all these years later, Čvarkov feels he was the victim of a political witch hunt while some others in the company seem to feel that he more-or-less got what he deserved since he and CEO Marjanović were apparently known to engage in nontransparent business practices such as nepotism in the hiring process or signing damaging contracts on company's behalf. In the years since their removal, Čvarkov's and Marjanović's friendship soured and they're currently not on speaking terms due to Čvarkov apparently not being discreet about Marjanović's womanizing in front of Marjanović's wife. Čvarkov detests the current CEO Dobrosavljev.

Belgrade is the capital and largest city of Serbia. Belgrade, literally translates as the “White City”, it is one of the oldest cities in Europe, dating back to the 3rd century BC. The Republic Square is the main meeting point in town. It is the site of the National Theater, the Statue of Prince Michael and the National Museum. Many locals consider the Republic Square to be the city’s centerpiece areas but the Belgrade’s designated center is Terazije. In its vicinity are some of Belgrade’s most recognizable buildings, including: The House of the National Assembly of Serbia. The Old Palace, today the City Hall but once a royal residence as well as, standing on the opposite side, the New Palace, today the seat of the President. Between National Assembly and Terazije is one of the centr...
