The video of the incident was also tweeted from the Liberal National Party account on Thursday, along with a call for Transport Minister Jackie Trad to "take responsibility".
Ms Trad said it was an "extremely concerning" incident.
Ms Trad said QR trains are serviced every 12 weeks at a minimum.
Queensland Rail's Citytrain executive general manager, Nick King, said it was a "concerning incident" that was being "thoroughly investigated".
"Safety is Queensland Rail's number one priority," he said.
"Under normal operation, train doors on Queensland Rail's Citytrain rolling stock are designed with a fail-safe mechanism in the event of a fault occurring.
"Trains are also equipped with traction interlock systems, designed to prevent a train being driven with the door open.
"Queensland Rail provides emergency intercoms in every carriage, through which customers can contact on-board train crew in the event of an emergency."
Mr King said the train involved in the incident had been removed while the issue was investigated.
