Fans expecting last minute seats at the Western Bulldogs versus Essendon clash at Etihad Stadium were destined for disappointment on Sunday, with only standing room tickets available to the general public and some club members.Â
Bulldogs members with general admission memberships were unable to secure a seat for the game on the morning of the match, with standing room or more expensive premium seats their only options.Â

Bulldogs general admission members could still scan into Etihad Stadium prior to the bounce however there were only standing room spots available.Â
Some members with small children chose to watch the game from the big screen above gate three while others went home, their children too small to see from standing room positions.Â

On Friday general admission Bulldogs members were encouraged by the club on social media to upgrade to a reserved seat to guarantee their entry.Â
The fee for the upgrade was discounted for members, however this allocation has been exhausted.Â

Just before bounce down there were standing room and AFL members general admission tickets still available, as well as premium seat options.Â
The Bombers sit eighth on the ladder and the Bulldogs are tenth, with both on 36 premiership points heading into the virtually do-or-die round 19 clash.Â
There have been three other matches at Etihad Stadium in 2017 which have had limited or no seats available on match day, according to an AFL spokesperson.Â
They were the round seven clash between the Bulldogs and Richmond, the round 16 match between St Kilda and Richmond and the round 17 match between St Kilda and Richmond.
