Bakounine/The Flue Sniffers-split lp

This is a split lp and cassette with two bands from France: D-beat crusties Bakounine need no introduction since i have posted almost all of their recorded matterial, here we got another release by them, this time a split lp with Flue Sniffers, released by a bunch of labels (Urinal Vinyl Records, Subversive WaysFFC ProductionsTrauma Social, DevianceJunky Monkey, Emrenadur Records and Svoboda Records), this came out in 500 copies and 60 copies as cassette (already sold out). The Flue Sniffers is totally unknown to me, members are from Britain and they live in France, they are a anarchopunk band in the vein of Crass, Confict, Antisect and the likes with dual vocals, this is their second release after the 19 track A Species Elite relesed by FFC Productions. The Bakounine side is available in their bandcamp, i don't need to say anything about their music, you already got to the point after all these posts with their releases. Their next release will be a split with Swedish Disclose clones Dispose, Great news! Don't need to rant more, listen their side and score a copy from the aforementioned labels/distros

Serpette is a punk band from Cahors, France, formed by four boys who are around their 40’s, who 've been playing in local punk/hardcore/rock bands and decided to join forces and play faster music, serpette means a little billhook in english but is also a knife with the same shape, so far they have released Project-Hanin in 2014  and the eponymous ep(?) in 2015, both releases are available in bandcamp, also there's a vid with Serpette on stage here, No any site, farcebook page, not anything but this bandcamp page.

Bakounine

Bakounine from Bretagne, France, is familiar to this blog since i have posted almost all of their releases, (check here) here we got four tracks of their noisy, distorted and raw D-beat, not different to their previous works. These songs will appear in an upcoming six band benefit compilation lp supporting prisoners. Nice! i knew these guys are politically aware, the photo is not the cover of this comp.

Filthy Charity / The Butcher Project-Split 10"

This is a ten inch split with Filthy Charity from France and The Butcher Project . Filthy Charity are some veterans with almost 25 years history, i posted their come back release Return of the Bloody Old Vein back in 2009 when they returned from an almost ten years hiatus. Here they deliver seven tracks of grindcore with crust hints, their side moves in fast pace with some slower breaks, therer are shouted and screamed vocals and an old school nostalgic flavor in the whole thing, the guitar sound, the vocals, everything looks at the past. I like it. I said seven songs because their bandcamp page has seven songs but in Neanderthal Productions, the label behind this split (along with Enthropy and Abatos) has five tracks for their side.  The Butcher Project bring five tracks and they move in hardcore pathways with melodic and also rough vocals with a slight street punk and Oi! feeling with the sing along parts and the whoaaaaahhh choruses that pop up here and there. My ears got used the this melodic stuff much more easlily thani expected. Imagine Negative Approach or Defiance and you got these guys. All and all this is not something classic of something that can change the history of grind or streetpunk/ Oi! orientated hardcore but definitely has some good elemets to add. Co-released by Neanderthal Productions,Enthropy and Abatos.

Sevices-Demo tape 2014

The mail i received had no any information about this band, all i know is they are from Lille, France and this demo was released by Give Us A Chance Records in 150 copies in 2014. The cassette consists of six tracks and lasts nearly nine minutes and delivers frantic and chaotic hardcore with angry shouted vocals, this is fast as hell and sometimes it gets faster and faster while some slower breaks give it a powerviolence-sic flavor. The singer shouts his lungs out in French language, sound quality is decent This is full of intensity and chaotic furry, for fans of raging fastcore and powerviolence. Give Us A Chance Rec.s is a small label with a shitload of tape releases with harcore, punk and powerviolence bands such as Syndrome 81, No Solution, Anxiety Attack, Wrong Decision, Doctrine and many others, in limited number of copies varying from 50 to 150 copies, there are about 22 releases, most of them are sold out. (check label's page for more infos, therer is free download link for all releases),

Tape or Die-Demo # 1

Now here 's something remarkable and worth to check out: Tape or Die hail from France, they are a new band, formed by some people who are active since '90's. Nowadays they got families but they keep the flag high, Tape or Die was formed three years ago but family matters keep them busy so they could practice only once per month but they finally managed to record eleven songs for their first demo which comes as casstte as is released by Automne Records. Music wise the cassette delivers fast hardcore punk with frantic drum rhythms. As expected, D-beat is here, there are raging screamed vocals, the whole demo runs in fast pace, sometimes faster and sometimes slower and steady, the last song Joyfull Crusaders starts with a slow and almost black metal intro before it turns into a hardcore hell. The recording has this old school feeling and sound, considering the difficulties and responsibilities of having a family, the result of recording is waaaayyy better than expected. The demo was recorded with a 20 years old 4 track tape recorder. All and all this is a nice piece of fast hardcore, you can contact Automne Records for a copy but the most important is the fact that these people keep the spirit alive and continue their love and devotion for punk and hardcore no matter how many years passed by or what other things they have to deal in their lives. Congruts and best wishes for more recordings in the future!

Viikset Moottoripyoa Klubi-Demo tape 2014

This band with the weird name is a short of mystery since as they said in their mail there is no any site of them, no bandcamp, no farcebook, no anything about them. All i know about this project is they come from France and include two members of the D-beat beaters Bakounine and they seem to be active since a google search gives many results about gigs they played. I don't know what their name means, the google translator says "Mustache Motorbike and club". Anyway, their demo comes as cassette, it was released recently and consists of nine songs (incl. an instrumental intro) and eighteen minutes of crust n roll/motor-crust, call whatever you like this Motorhead influenced crust, delivered by a shitload of bands around the world (Speedwolf, Whipstriker, Inepsy, Malignant Tumour and so many others), the quality of sound is decent and a little filthy, the vocalist has rough voice, the guitar deliver Motorhead-ish riffs, and the bassist is in the crowd drinking with the boozers: VMK is a duet, drums/guitar and no bass. Unfortunately the dnld file has not song titles so we can not know what mustache related shit they deal about in their lyrics. This is nice stuff where Motorhead meets Discharge and D-beat and create this joyful sonic landscape that stinks alcohol and makes you wanna dance and drink more and more and since we all love Motorhead and Discharge there is always space in your music taste for something like that. The download link is provided by the band. Listen it while having a drink (or more than one)

Warfuck-Neantification lp 2013

Warfuck come from France, they are a grindcore duet and here's Neantification, their fresh new lp co-released in 2013 by 16 labels (yes, sixteen labels), they formed in 2011 by by guys who were/are also in Obnoxious, Lovgun and Rising Terror, their first release was The Weak And The Wicked lp/cd, it came out in February 2012 and was followed by Neantification lp in 2013. They appeared in several fests incl. Obscene Extreme, Grind The Nazi Scum and others. Neantification comes on clear vinyl and consists of fifteen tracks, i googled the world  "Neantification" but there is no such word. then i found in a review the word "néant" which means void, seems they put "-ification" in the end and created a new french-eglish word. Anyway, the record delivers fifteen songs and brutal grindcore in the vein of Nasum, Magrundergrind, Rotten Sound etc As expected there are super fast bashing drums, shreding guitars, ugly screamed vocals and unleashed brutality. This is pure grindcore with the exception of  Néant which is an almost crust/neo-crust mid-paced instrumental. The sound is well worked, guitar is thin and both instruments are well mixed making the lack of bass not to be so obvious. This is for fans of Nasum, Rotten Sound and extreme grindcore of '90's. Both Warfuck releases are available in bandcamp, there is also a mediafire link provided by the band. As i said there are sixteen labels behind this record, there is a complete list and links here.

Bakounine-st lp (2013, FFC, Subversive Way, Tanker, Keep the Rage, Emrenadur, La Société Pue)

Bakounine come from Bretagne, France and this is their first vinyl record, we first met them back in 2011 when i posted their Drum Machine Years discography cd and later when i posted their second demo . In a brief account of the facts, they formed in 2008, recorded a demo and split cdrs and sometime in 2010 they left the drum machine back home, they added a drummer, they started playing in several gigs and recorded their second demo, in 2013 they became a quartet since they added a new singer and recorded the tracks for their vinyl record. The record was released by FFC Productions, Subversive Way Records Tanker Records, Keep the Rage, Emrenadur Records and La Société Pue Productions and is for sale in very cheap price, only 5 euro for sixteen songs. Its a nice surprise to see a vinyl from a band that used to release cdr's or tapes so far. There is also a cd version offered by the band for free. Music wise and as expexted this is furious D-Beat crust with fast pace that sometimes get faster, shouted vocals and the usual distortion in the guitar. To have an idea what they sound like, i 'd say this is not much different to their second demo but an improvement in their music and whole shit is obvious. Just like their previous releases their songs are in Italian and not in French. No novelties, no other genre blending here, just pure D-beat. All and all this is nice effort and considering what the vinyl surface brings, the sixteen song tracklist and the low price, this is not a waste of money at all. There is a dwnld link here provided by the band or you can contct them for the cd version.

Burning Bright-Domesday

i discovered Burning Bright while i was browsing crust tags in bandcamp and it was a nice surprise to my ears, i stuck listening their record again and again, its one of these records with each song to be great and equal to the previous one and you don't stop listening it until the final tune and still can't believe how great it is. Burning Bright come from Caen, France and include people of  Aussitot Mort and Amanda Woorward,  Domesday is their first record after the split lp with Death Mercedes on Communication Is Not Words / Sieve And Sand Records.
Domesday comes on vinyl format and music wise delivers crust in the vein of Tragedy and From Ashes Rise, in quality and greatness in the level of these bands: Emotional crust with screamo post hardcore influences relflecting the history of members in Aussitot Mort and Amanda Woorward, sometimes melodic, sometimes melacholic and epic, ballancing the right way between melody and power, with great vocals singing personal thoughts and inner seach topics, great leading guitar lines and the usual  pummeling d-beat driven force always to be there. Sound quality is excellent. This is a great vinyl and they have put their own personality on it instead on making a Tragedy clone record. Domesday is available for streaming and if you pay the  ridiculously cheap price of 0,40 euro you can download it. There is also a download link provided by the band. All and all this is a masterpiece and one of the greatest records of this year. The record was released by a bunch or labels: North Cult RecordsSieve And Sand Records,  Desordre Ordonné, Unlock Yourself Records, 50 Year Storm Records and Walking Is Still Honest Records

Haut&Court-La; vie (2012 Torn Flesh Records)

This is brutal shit: Haut&Court ( High & Short) is a grind/experimental/mathcore from France and La vie is their six song fresh new  release on Torn Flesh Records. Not much to say here, this is brutal, brutal and then more chaotic and more brutal, with razor blade guitars and blasting tight drums along with brutal vocals. Imagine Converge or  Trap Them and got these guys, this is brutal but also brings some technical shit within the noise, Torn Flesh calls their music Mathcrust, well i don't know, it sounds grind to my ears but that's no big deal, the deal is that this is good enough to torment your ears and minds. Haut&Court (read a review here) offer this for free and so Torn Flesh does too, if  you want a copy you can get it from the band.

Displode-Still Another War Song demo 2011

A few months ago i posted Face of War by Displode which is their side from the Face of War/Apocalypse Approaches split with Dispose, This was before the date of release, the records came out a few weeks ago on Crucificados Pelo Systema, SMYT Records and Reset No Equal Zero Records in 300 copies and brings four tracks from each band and thirteen minutes of noisy and distorted Raw D-beat paying homage to bands such as Disclose, Shitlickers, Discharge, Disarm, etc.the gate fold cover includes lyrics for both bands and guitar tablatures for Displode (great idea!), this is still available from the labels and other distros around the globe.
Now back to demo (no link for the split here): Still Another War Song was a short three track demo by Displode (not any relation with Displod from France too, the band who predated Discharge back in 1981), it was recorded sometime in 2011, as we know Displode is one man raw D-beat band continuing the legacy of D-beat/Dis-noise bands "influenced by  Disclose, Discharge, Disarm, Shitlickers and many other D-beat bands. The demo has rough and raw sound, comparing to the split sound quality this is more rough and distorted. This is short as fart (approximately four minutes only running time) and as usual the tracks come in the familial beat and speed and one of the songs (Biological Warfare) appears in the split with Dispose. This is available in Displode's blog in Noise section (scroll down the page and get it, thanks to G for offering this for free).
Plans for future Displode releases include the splits 7"'s with Conclude and Dudman (Jp).

Agonie-Demo cd 2006

Another band from France: Agonie were a five piece crusty anarcho-hardcore band from Paris, they formed in 2005 and called it a day in 2007, in 2006 they recorded this demo which seems to be their only recorded material. The band included on bass the guy who runs the mighty and criminally underrated Terminal Sound Nuisance blog and you can read a much more detailed review here so is the best thing for you to skip my crappy writing and read Earslaughterers story. But if you insist to stay here….then lets roll it: The demo came out on cd format, it lasts over nineteen minutes, it consists of seven songs including the mutilation of Disorder’s Police State and brings chaotic crusty anarchopunk-fastcore with totally distorted guitars, fast bashing and sometimes chaotic drumming and yelled/shouted vocals, the whole shit reminds of Disorder or to coin Earslaughter's writting “a shamelessly raw and drunken wrestling fight between Mankind ?, Contropotere and Disaffect when they were just starting to play their instruments, or we were just ourselves, which is probably the best thing to be..”. The sound is raw and the whole chaotic feeling  is close to raw D-beat noise punk bands, the artwork was hand-made, the demo package included lyrics, btw the download link is from Terminal Sound Nuisance (so "link provided by the band" fits here), and includes scans of covers, inlays, etc, lyrics are in French, unfortunately there is no translation in English but there ‘s explanation of each song's lyrical content in Terminal’s post. All benefits from the demo went to a prisoner support fund.
No more useless ranting. Go get it and don't forget to Visit Terminal Sound Nuisance.Thanx to R. for the link.

Bakounine-2nd demo

Noise, noise, noise: This is the second demo of Bakounine, the D-beat  crust freaks from Bretange, France and who are named after the Russian revolutionist and anarchist: I posted the Drum Machine Years cd about a year ago, so you can have there some information about them. The second demo was recorded in a few hours in December 2011 and delivers nine tracks including reprises of  Kaaos, Aside, Omega Peny and Pisschrist and over of eleven minutes of noisy  fast paced D-beat crustcore. The sound is raw and distorted, D-beat drumming as expected, all vocal screams and growls come from the lungs of the same singer, lyrics are in Italian and French. Download link is provided by the band.

Mörse-st 7"(2012,Eastrain)

I finally saved some free time to post some shit here, there are some demos that I received and I hope to post all soon: This is Mörse, a five piece act from Lille, France (not the grindcore/deathgrind band named Mörser from Germany) and this is their s/t ep, released by Eastrain Records, this is their first official release after their demo in 2011.  They just finished their tour with Loma Prieta and if you are near La Rumeur, Lille you can join the Eastrain party with Graf Orlock and Birds in the Row. Music wise there is a blending of genres, they place their music “between fast punk/hardcore  and heavy stoner, for fans of Trainweck, Glasses, Trap Them, Unkind, Ekkaia”. Well, there is no much brutality or intensity to bring Ekkaia to mind but there is hardcore with crust hints, punk rock and screamo elements, some stoner smelly smoke comes from bellow and leading guitar parts that pop up from time to time. There’s  steady mid-paced beat and screaming vocals (reminding crust act) that sometimes turn singing shouts. If you are into this emotional hardcore sub-genre or in this kind of  genre blending then walk in and grab a copy from Eastrain.

Displode-The face of war ep (2012)

Displode hail from France and is "...only an one man tribute band to keep alive the tradition of the Disnoise, essentially influenced by:Disclose, Discharge, Discard, Disprove, Disarm, Shitlickers, Disaster, Agoni". These words by  the band describe perfectly The Face Of War tracks which are the Displode side for the split ep with Dispose from Sweden: Raw and noisy D-beat with fuzzy and distorted guitar and bass, angry and rough vocals and the usual lyrical topics paying homage to Disclose and the aforementioned bands. Songs are fast and short, the sound is raw and and filthy, lyrics and surprisingly guitar tabs(!) are printed inside, the ep is a co-release of SMYT Records, Reset Not Equal Zero Records and Crucificados Pelo Sistema Records and is going to come out in May 2012. Future Displode  releases are the splits 7"'s with Conclude and Dudman (Jp).
Dwnld link is provided by SMYT and Dispode, thanx Gis and cheers!

Baltring Terror-2nd demo

Baltring Terror is a trio from (Bretagne?) France and include members of Krevar and Bakounine, this is their second demo which delivers eight tracks of mercilessly tortured noisy D-beat punk: In less than eight minutes they bring some feed back of furious D-beat noise: Pure raw sound, distorted vocals, distorted bass and guitar, noise and noise again recorded in four track and no mastered. I can say Baltring Way of Life is my fav. song. They have one more demo and a split tape/cdr with Dispose from Sweden
