NEW YORK OATH KEEPERS ANNOUNCE THE RECIPIENTS OF THEIR CONSTITUTIONAL AWARDS FOR 2016

Oath Keepers is a non-partisan association of currently serving, retired and veteran military, reserves, National Guard, Police and Peace Officers, and Fire Fighters who will fulfill the Oath we swore, with the support of like-minded citizens who stand with us, to take an Oath  to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help us God.

THE LEADERSHIP AWARD:

Given to individuals who, by their demonstrated leadership abilities in the Constitutional and Liberty movement, have been able to inspire and organize their fellow citizens to protect and defend the U.S. Constitution and the New York State Constitution against attacks by the state and federal governments.

 

 

This year’s award recipient is SHERIFF DAVID A. CLARKE JR. – SHERIFF OF MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WISCONSIN.

 

Outspoken Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr., known as “the people’s sheriff,” gained national recognition in 2013 after telling residents to learn how to use a gun. “With officers laid off and furloughed, simply calling 911 and waiting is no longer your best option,” Clarke said. “You can beg for mercy from a violent criminal, hide under the bed, or you can fight back. But are you prepared?”

In 2014, Sheriff Clarke gave a rousing speech at the 2014 NRA convention, receiving a standing ovation after saying he would add seven words to the Second Amendment: “Keep your hands off our guns, dammit.” Sheriff Clarke released an ad calling on Milwaukee County residents to defend themselves because the old model of having a citizen call 911 and wait for help isn’t always the best option. He regularly speaks out on law enforcement issues, knowing your rights, racial issues, 2nd Amendment matters and the importance of empowering individuals rather than the state with an emphasis on common sense and individual responsibility.” He is a staunch supporter of the police and has pointed out very clearly President Obama’s anti-police rhetoric which has led to attacks on police throughout the country. He also calls the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement the ‘Black Lies Matter’ movement because the whole movement is based on lies beginning with ‘hands up – don’t shoot.’

NEW YORK CONSTITUTIONAL SHERIFF AWARD

Given to a New York State Sheriff who understands the grave implications of our eroding Constitutional protections under both our federal and state governments, including fighting against Second Amendment attacks under the New York Safe Act and fighting the designation of organizations like the New York Oath Keepers as right wing extremists simply because they oppose unconstitutional laws and acts by the federal and state governments.

This year’s award recipient is SHERIFF MIKE CARPINELLI OF LEWIS COUNTY, NEW YORK. Early in his career, Sheriff Carpinelli served as Police Officer for the Town of Lloyd Police Department, the Town of New Paltz Police Department, and the Town of Ulster Police Department. From 1992 to 2006, he served as Police Officer for the Rochester City Police Department. In 2006, Sheriff Carpinelli retired and moved to Lewis County. Shortly after relocating, he was hired to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office by Sheriff L. Michael Tabolt to serve as a part-time Deputy Road Patrol and Parks & Recreation Deputy.

Sheriff Carpinelli majored in Criminal Justice at Ulster County Community College. He attended the Kingston Police Academy MPTC school in 1985. He received an honorable discharge from the United States Army. Sheriff Carpinelli has completed extensive specialized training, including Instructor Certification through the FBI, and the FBI Pursuit and Evasive Driving School. He is a Certified FBI Defensive Tactics Instructor; Certified in Accident Re-construction by NYS Police; and certified and continues to execute Tactical Warrant Entries. Sheriff Carpineli is one of the most outspoken opponents of the unconstitutional New York Safe Act and an ardent supporter of the people’s rights under the Second Amendment. He strongly encourages people who have concealed carry permits to carry their weapons for their own protection, as well as the protection of their neighbors. Sheriff Carpinelli is a frequent attendee and speaker at pro-Second Amendment gatherings, rallies and similar events.

THE KARL MARX AWARD

Given to an individual who by his or her actions has done more to destroy the unalienable rights of the people, divide America by class and race, to destroy the constitutional limits on government as outlined in the U.S. Constitution, while at the same time implementing many of tenets of the ‘Communist Manifesto’ (as written by Karl Marx and Frederich Engels) into our Republic. Last year’s winner of this award was Barack Obama, President of the United States.

NOTE: Although there are a couple of real good candidates for this award at the State and Federal level, the recipient’s identity will be kept a secret until the night of the dinner.

ADDITIONAL SPEAKER

STEWART RHODES

Founder and President of the Oath Keepers national organization. A former U.S. Army paratrooper, Stewart Rhodes is the founder and President of Oath Keepers. Stewart graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where his honor thesis focused on the political theory of James Madison. While attending UNLV, Stewart taught rape prevention and street crime survival as a volunteer instructor for the UNLV Jean Nidetch Women’s Center. He also worked as a professional sculptor and as a Nevada State certified concealed carry firearms instructor. After college he worked on Rep. Ron Paul’s (R, TX) DC staff. Stewart graduated from Yale Law School in 2004, where his paper “Solving the Puzzle of Enemy Combatant Status” won Yale’s Judge William E. Miller Prize for best paper on the Bill of Rights.
