APD goon squad harasses cop watchers, fails to ID

On a recent cop watch the Peaceful Streets Project stumbled upon a man who was apparently detained for walking while tattooed? As we were filming the incident the Austin Police goon squad (Mounted Patrol) decided to harass our cop watchers. Despite being plenty of distance away from the interaction, and actually voluntarily moving when asked by the primary police officer conducting the stop, our cop watcher was needlessly threatened and bullied away from filming by Officer Dawn Leonard #4395. In using her horse against our cop watcher, coupled with repeated commands to move, Officer Dawn Leonard violated APD policy 302.2(c)6 Public Recording of Official Acts. In the process, idiot Leonard also began shoving the primary officer with the ass of her horse, thereby becoming the only person who interfered with the police interaction. Thankfully, the man who was detained was ultimately freed. Both the freed gentleman and his brother thanked the Peaceful Streets Project for filming. This is why we cop watch - to protect & serve each other. When we tried to get Officer Dawn Leonard to identify herself, she refused. In total, we asked her to identify herself a dozen time. Her actions were a direct violation of APD policy 900.4.4 Duty to Identify. We also asked her supervisor, Sergeant Adam Johnson #3979 to identify her a total of four times. Adam Johnson, like Dawn Leonard, didn't want to do the bare minimum expected of a "public servant" and abide by their own police policy. However, both SGT Adam Johnson #3979 and Ofc Dawn Leonard #4395 barked orders and threatened members of the Peaceful Streets Project in an attempt to push them away from filming the police and/or to set the stage for an illegal "interference with public duties" arrest that Austin Police have used against the Peaceful Streets Project multiple times. Again, this is a violation of APD policy 302.2(c)6. The Peaceful Streets Project rose the issue with both Assistant Chief Jessica Robledo and Lieutenant Hicks. We did not observe either of these senior ranked officers display the basic leadership qualities of correcting a subordinate who was violating policy. Austin Police Department thugs have been harassing and arresting members of the Peaceful Streets Project for the past 3 and a half years. We always win in the long run, but these terrorist scumbag cops know that they can still stick us in jail for the night. However, we will continue to stand up for our rights and the rights of the people in our community. We will also continue to sue these idiot cops when they violate our rights. At 8:15 we mistakenly identify Dawn Leonard as Dawn Hubbard. Hubbard is the name of another thug on the APD mounted patrol goon squad.
