Nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas, nitrous, nitro, or NOS is a chemical compound with the formula N
2O. It is an oxide of nitrogen. At room temperature, it is a colourless, non-flammable gas, with a slightly sweet odour and taste. It is used in surgery and dentistry for its anaesthetic and analgesic effects. It is known as "laughing gas" due to the euphoric effects of inhaling it, a property that has led to its recreational use as a dissociative anaesthetic. It is also used as an oxidizer in rockets and in motor racing to increase the power output of engines. At elevated temperatures, nitrous oxide is a powerful oxidizer similar to molecular oxygen.
Nitrous oxide gives rise to nitric oxide (NO) on reaction with oxygen atoms, and this NO in turn reacts with ozone. As a result, it is the main naturally occurring regulator of stratospheric ozone. It is also a major greenhouse gas and air pollutant. Considered over a 100-year period, it is calculated to have between 265 and 310 times more impact per unit mass (global-warming potential) than carbon dioxide.

Channel 4 is a British public-service television broadcaster that began transmission on 2 November 1982. Although largely commercially self-funded, it is ultimately publicly owned; originally a subsidiary of the Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA), the station is now owned and operated by Channel Four Television Corporation, a public body established in 1990, coming into operation in 1993. With the conversion of the Wenvoe transmitter group in Wales to digital on 31 March 2010, Channel 4 became a UK-wide TV channel for the first time.
The channel was established to provide a fourth television service to the United Kingdom in addition to the television licence-funded BBC's two services and the single commercial broadcasting network, ITV.
Before Channel 4 and S4C, Britain had three terrestrial television services: BBC1, BBC2, and ITV. The Broadcasting Act 1980 began the process of adding a fourth, and Channel 4, along with its Welsh counterpart, was formally created by an Act of Parliament in 1982. After some months of test broadcasts, it began scheduled transmissions on 2 November 1982.
Play Safe (1927) is a silent film comedy starring Monty Banks. An abridged two-reel version was shown in the US as Chasing Choo Choos.
A gang of bad guys menace a man's girlfriend. She hides in a freight car and a misstep sends the otherwise-empty train out of the station with the lever pushed to full speed.
As the train gains speed, the captive's boyfriend must board the runaway train, repel the pursuing gang, get his girl out of the boxcar, and somehow get the two of them to safety. Tunnels, a water tower, a steep grade, and a frayed rope complicate the hero's task.

USE: Are you’re about to use a balloon? Keep the following things in mind: - Use laughing gas from a balloon, never from a cartridge or dispenser. Inside The Laughing Gas Black Market: High Society British people use Nitrous oxide more than any other country in the world, and it recently became the second-most popular drug in the UK. The media became obsessed with the drug after a handful of deaths associated with it – often over-inflating its dangers. The government’s response has been to include it in the Psychoactive Substances Act. This is a law that came about in response to the popularity of legal highs, putting a ban on the sale of anything that can change your mental state (except alcohol, cigarettes, and coffee). Now, selling nitrous carries a sentence of up to seven years. We set out to discover what happens when you ban a substance overnight, and how dealers will continue to supply Britain with its best-loved gas. WA...
Nitrous oxide is a very common inhalational anesthetic that offers analgesia, anxiolysis, and sometimes amnesia. It's a colorless, non-flammable gas with a slightly sweet taste. Due to its euphoric and hysterical effects, the substance is also called "laughing gas." It's been a recreational drug since the late 1700s and is currently one of the most common inhalants. N2O is also used in the food and automobile industries, such as in whipped cream canisters and as an engine booster. There are some mechanistic effects that make the gas concerning when large amounts are used. These films are graphic and may be very upsetting or triggering for some viewers. These are real people using real drugs, demonstrating harm reduction practices. We don't support the use of drugs. We think the best way to reduce harm is to refrain from these activities. However, people will engage in these behaviors and good harm reduction strategies can help develop safer practice and potentially save lives. Play Safe was made to educate the public and help prevent overdose and disease. Eddie presents on Harm Reduction in Drug Use, drawing from his Play Safe series, award-winning book How To Have Fun And Not Die, lectures and psychotherapy work with young adults. there’s a lie in every smile
distance deceives them
there’s a rumour for every mile
we have nothing to prove
our love is true
we have nothing to lose

How can you be far away?
How can you be far away?
You're always with me baby
always with me, even when you're gone
They can't steal
What I know I feel.
