NEW BLOG - "My Life's a Jigsaw"

I'm sure you guys have noticed that the posts here on T&W; have been incredible these last couple of months - not just in number but in music quality as well. I posted very little of my own collection in that time because the contributions by others have been astounding. I am very grateful and I thank each and every one of you who have contributed anything.

One contributor who you all must be familiar with by now, at least in name, is Bruce.
He has an incredible personal collection of mod, ska, powerpop, punk, and things of that sort of which you have seen but a small fraction of on Tone and Wave.

He has now started his own blog MY LIFE'S A JIGSAW which (at this writing) is in its first week but already there are things to be impressed by. Things you probably never heard of but absolutely must have.

Alpha Boy School feat. Joe Scholes

Alpha Boy School is working on a new album with new vocalist Joe Scholes -aka- Joachim Uerschels from The Braces.

Joe has a blog called joescholes.com...

...in his own words:

"The blog joescholes.com is a documentation of getting together the songs for a new live set and a new album. I'm also willing to include a whole bunch of other stuff, as thoughts about how spreading Ska Music was achieved in the 80s compared to today, how the scene worked etc.. There are a lot of plans, better not to talk too much in advance ..."

A very informative site with lots of audio samples - full length songs and live cuts. If you're a fan of The Braces or Alpha Boy School you'll appreciate his site.

Ruder Than Rude Podcast

A friend to Tone and Wave Freddy Vidal has started a podcast. The first volume is a collection of well known favorites but I know Freddy's interests encompass everything from the most common to the most obscure ska from all eras so I'm sure future episodes will be full of suprises.
