Man's body found in Northbridge on Sunday night

Police are investigating the death of a 20-year-old man whose body was found in Northbridge on Sunday night.

Police say the man was with friends at a venue on Aberdeen Street and left there with them at around 4.30am on Sunday morning.

He and his friends have then parted company.

Despite attempts by his friends to contact him throughout Sunday, the man could not be reached or found.

At around 8pm on Sunday the man's friends went to the Northbridge area and found him in an alleyway off Aberdeen Street.

Paramedics were called but the man was declared dead a short time later.

Police are investigating whether the man, who was from Cannington, may have fallen from a nearby building.

A report will now be prepared for the Coroner.
