Wallmapu: 47 Logging Trucks Destroyed as The Trial of 10 Mapuche Comunerxs Begins

BURN

During the night of August 19, 18 logging trucks burned in Wallmapu. The action this time was claimed by the group Weichan Auka Mapu in solidarity with the 10 comunerxs that faced trial the next day.

The torched trucks were still smoking when a strong security presence was put into operation at the court of Temuco to begin the great judicial theater. The aim is to use the anti-terrorist law to condemn the incendiary attack that caused the death of the landowner Luchsinger Mackay on January 4th, 2013.

The indicted are: José Tralcal Coche, Juan Segundo Tralcal Coche, Juan Segundo Tralcal Quidel, Luis Sergio Tralcal Quidel, José Arturo Córdoba Tránsito, Aurelio Catrilaf Parra, Eliseo Catrilaf Romero, Sergio Catrilaf Marilef, Sabino Catrilef Quidel and Francisca Linconao.

During the first week of trial, a new attack again ignited the capitalist interests in Wallmapu. 29 trucks were cremated. Leaflets left in the sector clarified the authorship and intentions of the massive attack: “No to the Luchsinger Mackay frame-up. Freedom to all P.P. (political prisoners). Fire and sabotage to the forest industry”.

It is expected that the inquisitorial process will last for a couple of months.

Solidarity with the prosecuted Mapuche comunerxs!

Down with all the prisons!

Germany: Hands Off Linksunten Indymedia! Call For International Demo on September 9th

berlin27a0

After the raids in Freiburg, Germany on August 25, there will be a demonstration on September 9. The demonstration will start at 07:00pm (19:00) at Bertoldsbrunnen in Freiburg, Germany.

There is an international call for the Inter-Galactic march for freedom of press and the preservation of leftwing centers. In the morning of August 25 the federal ministry of interior banned the news portal Linksunten Indymedia dot org. Linksunten Indymedia is an independent multiple language for left wing movements in the entire German speaking area and beyond.

At the same time the website was banned, there were raids in 4 private apartments and in the autonomous social center KTS. During the raids several storage media, laptops, money and pretended weapons (spray cans, pipes, gloves, knifes etc) were confiscated. Federal interior minister Thomas De Mazière said during a press conference that weapons were found at Linksunten Indymedia, but only one day later his ministry admitted that the “weapons” that were found were not related to Linksunten Indymedia. At KTS a lot of money was stolen for no reason during the raid. The autonomous center was ravaged. All door locks were destroyed, even a safe was torn out of a wall.

The ban and the raids, shortly before the general elections, are an attack against the whole left movement in Freiburg and everywhere else. This attack against individuals and the news portal Indymedia are a strategic move by the government to present themselves as a law and order party after the G20 protests.

Some individuals were hit, however they meant us all!

We call on an international level all left and emancipatory structures to take the streets, determined, to protest for independent and self-determined media. We won’t let ourselves be intimidated by repression against individuals and structures. On the contrary – We look to the future with ferocity and foresight!

Together against repression and baiting – Defend independent media!

We are all Linksunten!

International Demonstration: September 9, 2017, 07:00pm (19:00) at Bertoldsbrunnen in Freiburg, Germany.

Minsk, Belarus: Day of Solidarity with Anarchist Prisoners

29.08.17: Last Saturday Minsk has joined the International Week of Solidarity with anarchist prisoners[1] – a marathon of actions and events happening around the world from 23 to 30 August. Yesterday we were remembering not only Belarusian anarchist prisoners but also comrades from around the world, that are serving their time behind the bars of the repressive system.

The event took half a day and started with reading about anarchist prisoners in different countries, the quotes of those anarchists and their thoughts. This way our imprisoned friends were not any more unknown people from far away countries – their feelings and thoughts became closer to us.

After a short break, anarchist and former prisoner Mikola Dziadok presented his book “Colors of the parallel world” [2] – collection of essays, that author calls “prison analytics”: in each text there is analysis of one of the sides of prison life with its control methods, applied by the system.

Later that day movie “Make the world a better place” was screened – first time with russian subtitles. The documentary was talking about provocation of FBI agents against 2 young anarchists, that were encouraged to use Molotov cocktails by police informers. After that, they were arrested and got serious charges as if they were terrorists. The native is built around interviews with prisoners and the informer as well as materials of the criminal case, that depict a sophisticated attempt to make activists look like arson-terrorists. After the movie, there was a discussion about actually of this problem in Belarus.

The day was ended by the presentation of Russian anarchist Alexei Sutuga (Sokrat) about his years in prison. Alexey was arrested in 2014 for a fight with a neo-nazi. With direct involvement of center of fight against extremism he was sentenced to 3 years and 1 months of prison – he was released in April this year. After the talk, all the people could ask questions – during that part a lot of time was spent comparing Russian and Belarusian prison systems.

During the whole event, people could buy and sign postcards for anarchist prisoners in Belarus and other countries. There were tables with a lot of anarchist literature. Although the event was invitation only there were more than 50 people visiting it during the day. At the bar there was vegan food for donations that everybody could deal with their hunger. And after Sokrats presentation people were hanging out in informal atmosphere.

You can still support Belarusian anarchist prisoners by donating to ABC-Belarus (https://abc-belarus.org/?page_id=3670 ) or writing to one of the prisoners online (https://abc-belarus.org/?page_id=3670 ). It is also important to remember that the best solidarity with the anarchist prisoners in all times was an active continuation of their struggle.

Indonesia: Update on Resistance to the New Yogyakarkta International Airport (Eng/Indo)

Prior to this there had been no notice of “evictions” and the operation of heavy equipment for the construction of airports. At 2PM the residents had blocked the heavy equipment to operate but were outnumbered. The heavy equipment and apparatus protecting it continue to operate under the pretext that the land belongs to PAG (Pakualaman Ground). *

Tuesday, August 29, early morning residents and farmers began to confront heavy equipment.
