Canberra police have urged motorists to obey road rules after a drunk driver was caught driving at 177 km/h in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The 20-year-old man was driving on the Majura Parkway about 1.20am when officers detected his car.

He was stopped and given a roadside breath test which recorded a positive result.
The speed limit in the area is 100 km/h.
The Harrison resident was taken to the City Police Station where he recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.071.
An ACT Policing spokesman said the man will be summonsed to face court at a later date.
