Robert Clark "Bob" Seger (born May 6, 1945) is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist and pianist. As a locally successful Detroit-area artist, he performed and recorded as Bob Seger and the Last Heard and Bob Seger System throughout the 1960s. By the early 1970s, he had dropped the "System" from his recordings and continued to strive for broader success with various other bands. In 1973, he put together the Silver Bullet Band, a group of Detroit-area musicians, with whom he became most successful on the national level with the album Live Bullet, recorded live with the Silver Bullet Band in 1975 at Cobo Hall in Detroit, Michigan. In 1976, he achieved a national breakout with the studio album Night Moves. On his studio albums, he also worked extensively with the Alabama-based Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section, which appeared on several of Seger's best-selling singles and albums.
A roots rocker with a classic raspy, shouting voice, Seger wrote and recorded songs that dealt with love, women and blue-collar themes and was an exemplar of heartland rock. Seger has recorded many hits, including "Night Moves", "Turn the Page", "Still the Same", "We've Got Tonight", "Against the Wind", "You'll Accomp'ny Me", "Shame on the Moon", "Like a Rock", and "Shakedown", which was written for Beverly Hills Cop II. Seger also co-wrote the Eagles' number-one hit "Heartache Tonight", and his iconic recording of "Old Time Rock and Roll" was named one of the Songs of the Century in 2001.

For over 40 years, Bob Seger was one of the best mainstream rock & rollers in America, developing a distinctive body of honest, hard-rocking songs. Originally a hard-driving rocker in the vein of fellow Michigan garage rockers the Rationals and Mitch Ryder, Bob Seger developed into one of the most popular heartland rockers over the course of the '70s. Combining the driving charge of Ryder's Detroit Wheels with Stonesy garage rock and devotion to hard-edged soul and R&B;, he crafted a distinctively American sound. While he never attained the critical respect of his contemporary Bruce Springsteen, Seger did develop a dedicated following through constant touring with his Silver Bullet Band. Following several years of missed chances and lost opportunities. Greatest Hits is a compilation album ...

Bob Seger - Beautiful Loser (Full Album) 1975 Beautiful Loser is the eighth studio album by American rock artist Bob Seger, released in 1975 (see 1975 in music). This album marked Seger's return to Capitol Records after a four-year split. His previous record with Capitol was Brand New Morning in 1971. The album relied mostly on session musicians from the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section, but the Silver Bullet Band members were used separately on some songs and together on "Nutbush City Limits," a cover song of the hit by Ike & Tina Turner. The album is a stripped down, acoustic album, somewhat in the vein of Bruce Springsteen's decade-later Nebraska. This album has never been reissued on a legitimate U.S. CD release by Capitol. This album also marked Seger's four-year departure from Capitol. Seger's next album with Capitol would be Beautiful Loser, released in April 1975. Despite being a fan favourite due to the different atmosphere it has compared to other Seger records, Seger has said it will never be r...
Bob Seger Greatest Hits LIVE Collection | Best Songs Of Bob Seger
About halfway through his nearly two-hour Friday night set at Los Angeles' Forum, Bob Seger wheeled out his 1986 hit "Like a Rock" with a preamble: It's been "about 20 years since we've played this," he said. "I hope you remember it." To use one of his own song titles, "Rock and Roll Never Forgets," especially when said song was hammered into our brain repeatedly in a Chevy Truck commercial through the '90s. While some purists may be upset by the convergence of rock 'n' roll and Madison Avenue, even they have to admit that the ad exec who put that association together scored a knockout. Outside of Bruce Springsteen and perhaps John Mellencamp, there isn't another veteran rocker who speaks to the blue collar American everyman better than Seger. (Credit - MICHIGANROCKSANDROLL.) Part of an interview where Bob said that when it came to new music, he liked rock and roll (citing GNR and Black Crowes as bands keeping gritty bluesy rock alive) and that it was what young bands in cities played. What's interesting is the host brought up "Will people still be listening to it in 2010 and not just on oldies stations?" Unfortunately, that's about the time it died in the mainstream Top 40 thanks to the Biebs and Beliebers. 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1993, 1994, 1995.

'It's Your World' off legendary musician Bob Seger's new album, 'Ride Out,' is drawing some backlash. "I have children, 19 and 21. It's a finite planet. There are only so many resources. I felt like I had to write a song: let's try to have capitalism with a conscious," said Seger. The song is one of two on the new album that deals with climate change. "We need to stop it really soon. I'm just really concerned about my children's future," said the father of two.

As a locally successful Detroit-area artist, he performed and recorded as Bob Seger and the Last Heard and Bob Seger System throughout the 1960s.

Tracklist: 1. Beautiful Loser 2. Black Night 3. Katmandu 4. Jody Girl 5. Travelin' Man 6. Momma 7. Natbush City Limits 8. Sailing Nights 9. Fine Memory bob...

Something Like Brand New Morning is the fourth studio album by American rock singer/songwriter Bob Seger, released in 1971 (see 1971 in music).
She's no good at being phony
She never tells a good lie
She knows just when to let me be
She always knows when I'm too high
She's never out in front of me
Or way too for
Too for behind
She's always right beside me
Right in the good place all the time
She's so good for me
So good for me
She's so good for me
Good for me yeah
Oh, and when I call her at midnight
Oh, the lady she knows just what to say
She says the words I long to hear
Oh yeah,'couse that's her way
She knows just what to say
To make me want to stay 'cause that's her way
She's good for me
Oh, so good for me
She's sure enough good for me yeah
So good so good so good she's so good for me oh yeah
She's so good for me
Oh the lady
She's so good for me
