Real life is a phrase used to distinguish actual events, people, and activities from fictional worlds or characters, or from interactions on the Internet.
Distinct from the Internet
On the Internet, "real life" refers to life offline. Online, the acronym "IRL" stands for "in real life", with the meaning "not on the Internet". For example, while Internet users may speak of having "met" someone that they have contacted via online chat or in an online gaming context, to say that they met someone "in real life" is to say that they literally encountered them in a common physical location. Some, arguing that the Internet is part of real life, prefer to use AFK (such as the documentary TPB AFK).
Some sociologists engaged in the study of the Internet have predicted that someday, a distinction between online and real-life worlds may seem "quaint", noting that certain types of online activity, such as sexual intrigues, have already made a full transition to complete legitimacy and "reality".

Simple Minds

Simple Minds are a Scottish rock band formed in 1977. They achieved commercial success in the 1980s and, despite various personnel changes, continue to record and tour.
The band scored a string of hit singles, and are best known internationally for their 1985 hit "Don't You (Forget About Me)" (UK #7, US #1, CAN #1), from the soundtrack of the John Hughes film The Breakfast Club. Their other more prominent hits include "Alive and Kicking" (UK #7, US #3, CAN #3) and "Belfast Child" (UK #1, IRE #1, NLD #1). In 1986, the band was nominated for the Brit Award for Best British Group.
The core of the band is the two remaining founding members – Jim Kerr (vocals, songwriting) and Charlie Burchill (guitars, keyboards after 1990, other instruments, songwriting). The other current band members are Andy Gillespie (keyboards), drummer Mel Gaynor (who first joined the band in 1982) and Ged Grimes (bass guitar). Former members include bass guitarist Derek Forbes, drummer Brian McGee, and keyboardist Mick MacNeil.

Minds is an open source social networking service, headquartered in New York City. Elements of the global hacktivist collective Anonymous showed initial support for Minds, based on its foundation of transparency and privacy.
History
Minds was founded by Bill Ottman, John Ottman and Mark Harding in 2014, and launched to the public in June 2015.

Native device support
Minds is supported on both desktop and mobile devices. An official mobile Minds application is available for iOS and Android.
Security
The Minds social network includes full end-to-end encryption and asymmetrically encrypted chat messaging with private passwords.
Rewards system
Minds rewards content and engagement (swipes, votes, referrals and comments) with points, which users can then spend towards "boosting" posts.
Users may also purchase points with PayPal and the Bitcoin cryptocurrency, which are added to Minds' digital wallet.
Voting and swiping
With Minds, users can vote on content and other users using swipe technology, similar to the app Tinder.

This is my partial album remastering of 1981's SONS AND FASCINATION ~ SISTER FEELINGS CALL by Simple Minds, rendered to 24 bit. I usually try and find the earliest version of an album's manufacture to CD. It tends to mean the mastering was AAD: AAD – Analog tape recorder used during initial recording, analog tape recorder used during mixing, digital mastering. As they tend to be a bit closer to the sound of the Vinyl LP, or at least capable of getting halfway there. The problem with doing a complete remaster of Sons and Fascination ~ Sister Feelings Call (from here on in known as SAF/SFC) from an AAD source is that when it was manufactured for CD,Virgin deleted two songs from "Sister Feelings Call", as the maximum running time of redbook CD releases (in the 1980's) would not accommodate the entire set. Virgin were unwilling to issue the material as a two-CD set, so this version of SF/SFC omits LEAGUE OF NATIONS and SOUND IN 70 CITIES. This is my partial album remastering of 1981's SONS AND FASCINATION ~ SISTER FEELINGS CALL by Simple Minds, rendered to 24 bit.
I usually try and find the earliest version of an album's manufacture to CD. It tends to mean the mastering was AAD:
AAD – Analog tape recorder used during initial recording, analog tape recorder used during mixing, digital mastering.
As they tend to be a bit closer to the sound of the Vinyl LP, or at least capable of getting halfway there. The problem with doing a complete remaster of Sons and Fascination ~ Sister Feelings Call (from here on in known as SAF/SFC) from an AAD source is that when it was manufactured for CD,Virgin deleted two songs from "Sister Feelings Call", as the maximum running time of redbook CD releases (in the 1980's) would not accommodate the entire set. Virgin were unwilling to issue the material as a two-CD set, so this version of SF/SFC omits LEAGUE OF NATIONS and SOUND IN 70 CITIES.

Sons and Fascination ~ Sister Feelings Call by Simple Minds REMASTERED
This is my partial album remastering of 1981's SONS AND FASCINATION ~ SISTER FEELINGS CALL by Simple Minds, rendered to 24 bit. I usually try and find the earliest version of an album's manufacture to CD. It tends to mean the mastering was AAD: AAD – Analog tape recorder used during initial recording, analog tape recorder used during mixing, digital mastering. As they tend to be a bit closer to the sound of the Vinyl LP, or at least capable of getting halfway there. The problem with doing a complete remaster of Sons and Fascination ~ Sister Feelings Call (from here on in known as SAF/SFC) from an AAD source is that when it was manufactured for CD,Virgin deleted two songs from "Sister Feelings Call", as the maximum running time of redbook CD releases (in the 1980's) would not accommodate...

This is my partial album remastering of 1981's SONS AND FASCINATION ~ SISTER FEELINGS CALL by Simple Minds, rendered to 24 bit.
I usually try and find the earliest version of an album's manufacture to CD. It tends to mean the mastering was AAD:
AAD – Analog tape recorder used during initial recording, analog tape recorder used during mixing, digital mastering.
As they tend to be a bit closer to the sound of the Vinyl LP, or at least capable of getting halfway there. The problem with doing a complete remaster of Sons and Fascination ~ Sister Feelings Call (from here on in known as SAF/SFC) from an AAD source is that when it was manufactured for CD,Virgin deleted two songs from "Sister Feelings Call", as the maximum running time of redbook CD releases (in the 1980's) would not accommodate the entire set. Virgin were unwilling to issue the material as a two-CD set, so this version of SF/SFC omits LEAGUE OF NATIONS and SOUND IN 70 CITIES.

Sons and Fascination ~ Sister Feelings Call by Simple Minds REMASTERED
This is my partial album remastering of 1981's SONS AND FASCINATION ~ SISTER FEELINGS CALL by Simple Minds, rendered to 24 bit. I usually try and find the earliest version of an album's manufacture to CD. It tends to mean the mastering was AAD: AAD – Analog tape recorder used during initial recording, analog tape recorder used during mixing, digital mastering. As they tend to be a bit closer to the sound of the Vinyl LP, or at least capable of getting halfway there. The problem with doing a complete remaster of Sons and Fascination ~ Sister Feelings Call (from here on in known as SAF/SFC) from an AAD source is that when it was manufactured for CD,Virgin deleted two songs from "Sister Feelings Call", as the maximum running time of redbook CD releases (in the 1980's) would not accommodate...

This is my partial album remastering of 1981's SONS AND FASCINATION ~ SISTER FEELINGS CALL by Simple Minds, rendered to 24 bit.
I usually try and find the earliest version of an album's manufacture to CD. It tends to mean the mastering was AAD:
AAD – Analog tape recorder used during initial recording, analog tape recorder used during mixing, digital mastering.
As they tend to be a bit closer to the sound of the Vinyl LP, or at least capable of getting halfway there. The problem with doing a complete remaster of Sons and Fascination ~ Sister Feelings Call (from here on in known as SAF/SFC) from an AAD source is that when it was manufactured for CD,Virgin deleted two songs from "Sister Feelings Call", as the maximum running time of redbook CD releases (in the 1980's) would not accommodate the entire set. Virgin were unwilling to issue the material as a two-CD set, so this version of SF/SFC omits LEAGUE OF NATIONS and SOUND IN 70 CITIES.
