I met him at a film and comic convention several years later and took my opportunity to apologise. I very much doubt that he remembered me, and have no reason to believe that I had done any harm, but it still seemed the right thing to do. All these years later, though, I take the opportunity to criticise a photograph I took of one of the shots I was involved with, when shooting Ivanhoe in Aydon Castle for the BBC. Yes, I am well aware of the irony in my criticising people for having messy hair.
