Medical college

A medical college is a trade association that brings together practitioners of a particular geographical area (a country, region, province). In common-law countries, they are often grouped by medical specialties (cardiologists, family doctors, etc.).

Medical associations act as a safeguard of the fundamental values of the medical profession: the deontological ethics and code of ethics. In addition to providing exclusive representation in national and international medical practitioners, a medical college is responsible for management and protection of the medical profession.

In most countries, licensing is usually required. A professional or college official is a public corporation of an industry association composed of persons exercising liberal professions and calls are usually covered by the state. Associate members are known as colleges.

History

In ancient Rome, the college was understood by the name of Colegium the company public law with legal personality, formed by a plurality of persons with the same trade. For its formation is needed at least three people, but to continue their activity sufficient one. It is believed that Opificum o Societate colleges, from which the current Official Colleges, were derived from the associations of commoners to achieve benefits similar to those enjoyed by the patricians, needed a special authorization from the Emperor or the Senate to take legal personality. Raghav

Raghav Mathur (born April 2, 1979), known professionally as Raghav, is an independent Canadian singer/songwriter. He has released three studio albums: the debut Storyteller in 2004, Identity in 2009 and The Phoenix in 2012. His most known commercial success was with "Angel Eyes" which peaked at number 7 in the UK in 2005. His singles "So Confused", "Can't Get Enough" and "It Can't Be Right" also reached the UK top ten in 2004. Raghav continues to have success on Canadian charts in 2010s with subsequent hits like "So Much" with Kardinal Offishall, "Fire", "Top of the World", "Woohoo" and "Until the Sun Comes Up" (featuring Indian actor Abhishek Bachchan and US artist Nelly).

Beginnings

Raghav was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to Hindu parents from India. His parents soon moved to Calgary and Fort McMurray, Alberta, where he grew up. Raghav attended Sir Winston Churchill High School, at the age of 15, music became a heavy feature in his life and alongside the Indian influences at home, became heavily influenced by R&B. By the time he was 16, he wrote a song that was awarded by the National Songwriters Association of U.S.A. At 17, he moved to Los Angeles, California, United States to develop his vocal skills by Seth Riggs who has trained, amongst others, Madonna, Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder. A year later he moved to Liverpool, England where he studied at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts. During his time in college, he joined R&B band 11/7 which was nominated for a Mobo Award for best unsigned artist.

Baba Raghav Das Medical College

Baba Raghav Das Medical College(Hindi: बाबा राघव दास मेडिकल कॉलेज) is a Medical College is a government medical college located in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, India.

History

It was established in 1972, and is affiliated to Gorakhpur University. Nehru Hospital (700 beds, with an additional 108 beds in Epidemic Ward) is affiliated with the college.

Courses

Every year 100 students are allowed to take admission in the M.B.B.S. course by two competitive examinations. The prestigious AIPMT accounts for the filling of 15% seats and remaining 85% seats are filled through a state-level entrance examination UP-CPMT. There are also 54 seats of MD & MS also in this college.

MSG in Maggi Noodles

It was on the Government Regional Public Analyst Laboratory on the College campus that the Maggi Noodles were first found to contain too much monosodium glutamate (MSG).

Gorakhpur

Gorakhpur is a city located along the banks of Rapti river in the eastern part of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is located near the Nepal border, 273 kilometers east of the state capital Lucknow. It is the administrative headquarter of Gorakhpur District and Gorakhpur Division.

Gorakhpur is a religious center home to many historic temples and sites for both Hinduism and Buddhism. The city is home to the Gorakshanath Temple (Gorakhnath Math). Kabir, the 15th-century mystic poet is buried in Maghar, which is also near Gorakhpur.

Geography

Gorakhpur is one of the most flood-prone districts in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Data over the past 100 years show a considerable increase in the intensity and frequency of floods, with extreme events occurring every three to four years. Roughly 20% of the population is affected by floods, which are an annual occurrence in some areas, causing huge loss of life, health and livelihoods for the poor inhabitants, as well as damage to public and private property.

Yogi Adityanath

Mahanth Yogi Adityanath (born Ajay Singh; 5 June 1972) is an Indian politician and a priest. He is a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament who has represented Gorakhpur in the Lok Sabha (lower house of the Indian Parliament) since 1998. Adityanath is the Mahant or head priest of the Gorakhnath Mutt, a Hindu temple in Gorakhpur, following the death of his spiritual "father," Mahant Avaidyanath in September 2014. He is also the founder of the Hindu Yuva Vahini, a social, cultural and nationalist group of youth who seek to provide rightist Hindu platform.

Political career

Adityanath was the youngest member of the 12th Lok Sabha at 26. He has been elected as an MP from Gorakhpur to the Lok Sabha in the 1998, 1999, 2004, 2009 and 2014 elections. He is the successor to former Hindu Mahasabha president Mahant Avaidyanath at the Gorakhpur temple. He holds a B. Sc. from the H.N.B. Garhwal University in Srinagar, Uttarakhand.
