Tyrese Gibson

Tyrese Darnell Gibson (born December 30, 1978), also known mononymously as Tyrese, is an American Grammy-nominated R&B singer, songwriter, actor, author, television producer, former fashion model and MTV VJ. He is best known for his roles as Joseph "Jody" Summers in Baby Boy and as Roman Pearce in the The Fast and the Furious series. After releasing several albums, he transitioned into films, with lead roles in several major Hollywood releases.

Early life

Gibson was born and raised in Watts, Los Angeles, California. His mother, Priscilla Murray Gibson (née Durham), raised him and his three older siblings as a single parent after Gibson's father, Tyrone Gibson, left. Gibson attended Florida A&M University.

Music career

Music beginnings

Gibson's career began when he auditioned for a Coca Cola commercial at the suggestion of his high school music teacher. An appearance in a 1994 Coca-Cola advertisement, singing the phrase "Always Coca-Cola", led to bigger fame. It led him to other appearances for Guess and Tommy Hilfiger.

Plot: Diva actress Elizabeth Thornrich is murdered on the film set of famous Hollywood Director Vincent Augustine's latest film "Chapel Blood", and the body has disappeared. Homicide Division head Captain Parker assigns detectives Mike Hung, 29, and Sasha Colfax, 27, to go undercover on the set. Captain Parker is trying to keep the murder out of the press in order to trap the killer and not interrupt the film's production, because all the profits will be donated to the financially strapped city to open a synthetic blood bank. The city's blood donation supply is critically low and people are dying. Unbeknownst to all, the blood is being devoured by vampires, so they won't have to bite humans. Greedy Mayor Harvey Wright has made a deal with director Augustine to get kickbacks from the synthetic blood bank. At the same time, head of the largest vampire coven is plotting to have his rival covens drink the synthetic blood, not revealing that it weakens vampires over time and will ultimately put his enemies under his control. A rival coven becomes suspicious and risks exposing all to stop the power grab. Thus, Detectives Hung and Colfax must crack the toughest mysteries of their lives while fighting to survive in a vampire-infested studio.

Panic and fear escalates and tragedy befalls Tom when he is accidentally killed and buried in the supernatural cemetery. The girls make a pact of silence: agreeing to start new lives in order to advert suspicion from the local law enforcement. One year later, on the anniversary of Tom's death, one of the strippers is found decapitated, prompting the others to reunite at a Slumber Party and wait out their worst fear; vengeance. Innocence and body parts are lost as death takes its penance and the slaughter begins.
