Film.Music.Media: All Access is honored to welcome Harry Gregson-Williams as our guest. Harry has carved a path for himself in the industry by building one of the most unique sonic styles as a composer, and crafting some iconic working relationships with top directors. We discuss Harry's beginnings in England and how he went to a boarding school to be trained in a children's choir. As he grew older he found himself working with composer Richard Harvey, which led to a phone call from a German composer named Hans. Beyond his journey to the United States and setting up shop with Hans Zimmer then branching out on his own, we discuss in detail many of the approaches with the different directors Harry has worked with including the late Tony Scott. Harry talks about his love for teaching and why he decided to shutdown his mega studio and scale it back to a home studio to be near his family, and we also get an official word if he is scoring Ridley Scott's Alien: Covenant or not. Harry is one of the true auteur composers working today and his sound is instantly recognizable, getting to sit down and experience his charm in person was a true joy.

Harry Gregson-Williams (born 13 December 1961) is a British composer, orchestrator, conductor, and music producer.
Total Recall is a 2012 American dystopian science fiction action film remake of the 1990 film of the same name, which was in turn loosely based on the 1966 short story "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale" by Philip K. Dick. The film centers upon an ordinary factory worker who accidentally discovers that his current life is a fabrication predicated upon false memories implanted into his brain by the government. Ensuing events leave no room for doubt that his true identity is that of a highly-trained secret agent. He then follows a trail of clues to gradually recover more suppressed memories and reassumes his original vocation with renewed dedication. Unlike the original film and the short story, the plot takes place on Earth rather than a trip to Mars[4] and exhibits more political overtones. The film blends Western and Eastern influences, most notably in the settings and dominant populations of the two nation-states in the story: the United Federation of Britain and the Colony (Australia).

Harry Gregson-Williams
Harry Gregson-Williams (born 13 December 1961) is a British composer, orchestrator, conductor, and music producer. He has regularly written for television and films, such as The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, The Martian, and the Shrek franchise.
Gregson-Williams has also composed music for several video games, having notably helped score every main entry in the Metal Gear series since Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty.
Education
Gregson-Williams won a musical scholarship to St John's College at the University of Cambridge at the age of seven, where he was a child chorister, and later attended Stowe School, a boarding independent school in the civil parish of Stowe in Buckinghamshire, where he was a music scholar, followed by the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.

The Equalizer
The Equalizer is an American crime drama television series, originally airing on CBS from fall 1985 until late-spring 1989. It starred Edward Woodward as a retired espionage/intelligence officer with a mysterious past, who uses the skills from his former career to exact vigilante justice on behalf of innocent people who are hopelessly trapped in dangerous circumstances. The series combined elements of the spy film, private investigator/police procedural drama, and vigilante genres.
A film adaptation of the TV series, starring Denzel Washington, was released in the U.S. on September 26, 2014.
Series plot elements
The series featured British actor Edward Woodward as Robert McCall, a former covert operations officer of an unnamed US government intelligence organization, which was often referred to simply as "The Agency" or "The Company" (it is implied that it is the CIA), who tries to atone for his past by offering, free of charge, his services as a troubleshooter, a protector, and an investigator. People in need find him through a newspaper ad: "Got a problem? Odds against you? Call the Equalizer. 212 555 4200." When he begins this business in the pilot episode, it is revealed that the nickname "Equalizer" was bestowed on him by another operative by the name of "Brahms," played by Jerry Stiller.

Disney claimed the track, "No ordinary Dagger", as being theirs on 26th June, 2013 and blocked the video worldwide. The rest of the video is under copyright to Universal Music Group. After researching this for many months, I decided to upload, "No Ordinary Dagger" to 5 of my other channels, ALL those uploads credited Universal Music Group as being the rightful copyright holder to that track. I, then, uploaded this entire video to another channel and to another website which assigns copyright and ALL those uploads attributed, "No Ordinary Dagger" to Universal Music Group. "No Ordinary Dagger" is also assigned to UMG on the CD.
The copyright dispute should be finalised before 24th November, 2014. I trust YouTube will do the right thing. Thank you very much.

Harry Gregson-Williams (born 13 December 1961) is a prolific English composer,[1] orchestrator, conductor, and music producer. He is best known for his film scores, of which he has composed using over sixty electronic music and orchestral pieces. PRINCE OF PERSIA: The Sands of Time, is a 2010 American fantasy adventure film written by Jordan Mechner, Boaz Yakin, Doug Miro, and Carlo Bernard; directed by Mike Newell; produced by Jerry Bruckheimer; and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. The film is a retelling of the 2003 video game of the same name, developed and released by Ubisoft Montreal.
The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal as Prince Dastan, Gemma Arterton as Princess Tahmina, Ben Kingsley as Nizam, and Alfred Molina as Sheikh Amar.
The film has the same title as the video game Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, and is primarily based on it. Elements from Prince of Persia: Warrior Within and Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones, the two other titles from the Sands Of Time trilogy of the Prince of Persia video game franchise, are also incorporated.

One of Hollywood's most sought-after composers, Harry Gregson-Williams worked on all four installments of the SHREK franchise; garnered a BAFTA nomination for the score for the first SHREK; and received Golden Globe and Grammy Award nominations for his score to THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE. His long list of film credits also includes critically acclaimed THE TOWN as well as Oscar-nominated GONE BABY GONE, both collaborations with director Ben Affleck. The longtime L.A. resident was born in England and attended London's prestigious Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Harry's most recent project is Andrew Adamson's MR. PIP.

Harry Gregson-Williams (born 13 December 1961) is a British composer, orchestrator, conductor, and music producer. Total Recall is a 2012 American dystopian science fiction action film remake of the 1990 film of the same name, which was in turn loosely based on the 1966 short story "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale" by Philip K. Dick. The film centers upon an ordinary factory worker who accidentally discovers that his current life is a fabrication predicated upon false memories implanted into his brain by the government.
