Hanuman

Hanuman (/ˈhʌnʊˌmɑːn, ˈhɑːnʊ-, ˌhʌnʊˈmɑːn, ˌhɑːnʊ-/; Hanumān in IAST); also known as Mahavira or Bajrangbali, is a Hindu god and an ardent devotee of the god Rama. He is a central character in the Hindu epic Ramayana and its various versions. He is also mentioned in several other texts, including Mahabharata, the various Puranas and some Jain texts. A vanara (monkey), Hanuman participated in Rama's war against the demon king Ravana. Several texts also present him as an incarnation of the god Shiva. He is the son of Anjana and Kesari, and is also described as the son of the wind-god Vayu, who according to several stories, played a role in his birth.

Etymology and other names

The Sanskrit texts mention several legends about how Hanuman got his name. One legend is that Indra, the king of the gods, struck Hanuman's jaw during his childhood (see below). The child received his name from the Sanskrit words Hanu ("jaw") and -man (or -mant, "prominent" or "disfigured"). The name thus means "one with prominent or disfigured jaw". Another theory says the name derives from the Sanskrit words Han ("killed" or "destroyed") and maana (pride); the name implies "one whose pride was destroyed". Some Jain texts mention that Hanuman spent his childhood on an island called Hanuruha, which is the origin of his name.

Ajay Rao

Ajay Rao (also credited as Krishna Ajai Rao) is an Indian actor who works primarily in Kannada film industry.He is commonly known as "Sandalwood Krishna". He debuted with the 2003 film Excuse Me (2003) and got his big break with the successful films like Taj_Mahal_(2008_film) (2008) Krishnan Love Story (2010) and Krishnan Marriage Story (2011). With the film Krishna Leela (2015), he debuted as a producer launching his home banner "Sri Krishna Arts and Creations".

Career

Ajai did his debut and began his career as a hero in director Prem's movie Excuse Me. The other cast alongside were Ramya and Sunil Raoh. He played the role of a musician who is in love with the girl, but typically is unable to tell her. The film was a big success and Ajay's work was appreciated. The film celebrated 25 weeks in Karnataka's biggest theatre Kapali. The subsequent films, however, failed to perform well in the box office until Taj Mahal happened.

Fresh Break

Ajai's career got a new start of life with the 2008 film Taj Mahal. The film was critically and commercially a big success and brought back Ajay Rao into stardom. Excuse Me co-star Sunil was initially cast for the part. When he backed out due to personal reasons, Ajay stepped in. Taj Mahal was one of the big hits of 2008 and has revived Ajay's career.

Sindhu Lokanath

Sindhu (born 5 February 1987), known by her stage name Sindhu Loknath, is an Indian film actress and model. She made her debut in films, with a cameo role in Parichaya (2009). She is recognized for her performances in Lifeu Ishtene (2011), Drama (2012), Case No. 18/9 (2013) and Love in Mandya (2014).

Early life

Born as Sindhu on 5 February 1987 in Bangalore in the Indian state of Karnataka, Sindhu Loknath was born into what she calls "an extremely conservative family". She obtained a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology from St. Joseph's College of Arts & Science, Bangalore, . She took to acting and made her debut appearing in a cameo role in the 2009 Kannada film Parichaya.

Career

Following her first screen appearance in Parichaya, Sindhu was cast as Nandini by director Pawan Kumar in his film Lifeu Ishtene, that released in 2011. Sindhu got recognized for her performance in the film. Around this time, she appeared in cameo roles in Telugu and Tamil films such as Allam Vellulli (2009), Vaada Poda Nanbargal (2011) and Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal (2012). In the 2012 comedy film Drama directed by Yogaraj Bhat, she was cast as Chandrika, a mute girl and the love interest of a character played by Sathish Ninasam. The film emerged as a success with its ensemble cast including Sindhu receiving critical praise. For her performance in the film she earned nominations for Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress – Kannada and SIIMA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. In the same year, she appeared in Yaare Koogadali in a supporting role.
