She has won two Vibe awards, two Source awards, an ASCAP pop award and a BET award for "Best Female Hip Hop", as well as two other nominations. Born in Saint James, Trinidad and Tobago and raised in South Jamaica, Queens, New York, Minaj earned public attention after releasing three mixtapes between 2007–09. She signed a recording contract with Young Money Entertainment in 2009.
Minaj's debut studio album, Pink Friday (2010), peaked at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 and spawned the top-five single "Super Bass". During that time, Minaj became the first female solo artist to have seven singles simultaneously charting on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Her second studio album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded (2012), also topped the chart and its lead single, the pop crossover "Starships", peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 100. Remy Ma and Nicki’s beef continues thanks to some serious shade Remy threw at Nicki during her BET awards acceptance speech. After winning Best Female Hip Hop Artist at the BET Awards for the past seven years in a row, Nicki Minaj lost to none other than her rap nemesis, Remy Ma. Remy took to the stage and after giving a heartfelt thanks to BET and her husband Papoose, she proceeded to quote some lyrics from the song “Spaghetti”, which was definitely a not-so-subtle diss aimed at Nicki. Cardi B was HACKED and the hacker tweeted out to Nicki Minaj and REMY MA trying to start some trouble and Remy Ma Clapped Back not knowing it was a hacker behind the tweet about her husband Papoose ....her tweet said #F*ckCardiB ARE YOU DUMB, You wore a stripp*er dress out in the cold, Are you Dumb!" Remy Ma and Fat Joe talk "Shether", Nicki Minaj, the Grammys and being back on top!
Heaven came down, when I saw you tonight.
The angels fell, not a soul in hell cried.
Heaven came down and we all know why.
The beginning of the end, the nations will ably.
Yes, I need you in my life.
Yes, I need you by my side.
The world’s in your hands, you know we’ve been so blind
Heaven came down, with a stone enshrined.
The poorest of them all, humiliating fall, seven stars on his palm.
And It’s harder to deny, the way I feel for you inside, so won’t you come
And show me the light.
Yes, I need you in my life.
Yes, I need you by my side.
The world’s in your hands, you know we’ve been so blind.
Heaven came down and we all know why.
The beginning of the end, seven churches will ably.
Heaven cried out, with a message tonight.
One voice to the all, the guilty will fall, a new born will lead all!
Yes, I need you in my life.
Yes, I need you by my side.
The world’s in your hands, you know we’ve been so blind.
