Yuvraj Singh ( pronunciation ) (born 12 December 1981) is an Indian international cricketer, an all-rounder who bats left-handed in the middle order and bowls slow left-arm orthodox. He is the son of former Indian fast bowler and Punjabi actor Yograj Singh. Yuvraj has been a member of the Indian cricket team in ODIs since 2000 and played his first Test match in 2003. He was the vice-captain of the Indian ODI team between 2007-2008. He was the Man of the Tournament in the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup, and one of the top performers at the 2007 ICC World Twenty20, both of which India won. In a match against England at the 2007 World Twenty20, he famously hit six sixes in one over bowled by Stuart Broad — a feat performed only three times previously in any form of senior cricket, and never in an international match between two Test cricket teams. He holds the record for the fastest fifty in Twenty20 Internationals and in all Twenty20 matches, scored 50 in 12 balls against England in 2007.
Yuvraj, Yuvaraja, or Yuvaraj (Hindi: युवराज), also known as Kumar (Hindi: कुमार) or Rajkumar (Hindi: राजकुमार, literally meaning "Son of the King") in the languages of India, especially Sanskrit, Hindi, Telugu and Gujarati, is an Indian title for crown prince, the heir apparent to the throne of an Indian Princely State or Hindu kingdom. It is usually applied to the eldest son of a Kshatriya chief, Rajah (King) or Maharajah (Great King) ruling one of the former kingdoms. Yuvraj (Hindi: युवि) is also a popular given name name for men in India, specially among Jats, Rajputs and Sikhs.
While the title Rajkumar or Kumar was used for all the sons of the ruler, title Yuvraj was applied only to the eldest son and heir apparent to the throne. Similarly, for Indian princesses, the word used was Rajkumari or sometimes Maharajkumari, literally meaning daughter of the King. In India, the daughters did not inherit the throne, so there is no word for female heir apparent.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore (often abbreviated as RCB) are a franchise cricket team based in Bangalore, Karnataka that plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL). One of the founding eight teams in the IPL, the team has made two final appearances in the IPL, losing both (in 2009 to the Deccan Chargers and in 2011 to the Chennai Super Kings). The team also finished runners-up in the 2011 CLT20. The team was supposed to play in the 2015 CLT20, however, the tournament was shelved as of July 2015. The home ground of the Royal Challengers is the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.
The team is currently captained by Virat Kohli and coached by Daniel Vettori. The team is owned by Vijay Mallya, through his flagship firm UB Group. The director of the team is Sidhartha Mallya.
Indian Premier League is a cricket tournament organised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and backed by the International Cricket Council (ICC). For the inaugural tournament held in April–June 2008, the BCCI had finalised a list of 8 teams who will be participating in the tournament. The teams representing 8 different cities of India, including Bangalore, were put up on auction in Mumbai on 20 February 2009 and the Bangalore team was won by Vijay Mallya, who paid US$111.6 million for it. This was the second highest bid for a team in the IPL, next only to Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries' bid of $111.9 million for the Mumbai team.
The Rajasthan Royals (often abbreviated as RR) are a franchise cricket team in the Indian Premier League from the city of Jaipur, suspended till the 2017 season. Founded in 2008 as one of the initial eight IPL franchises, the Royals are owned by Manoj Badale. The team played its home matches at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur and also had secondary home grounds at the Sardar Patel Stadium at Ahmedabad and the Brabourne Stadium at Mumbai.
The Royals are often considered as the Moneyball team of the IPL. The Royals are known to unearth obscure exciting talent. The team won the inaugural edition of the IPL under the captaincy of Shane Warne, despite being written off as a title contender by the media and fans. The Royals were also the runners-up of the 2013 Champions League Twenty20 under Rahul Dravid's captaincy.
On 14 July 2015 the verdict reached by a panel appointed by India's Supreme Court suspended Rajasthan Royals plus fellow Indian Premier League side Chennai Super Kings for two years over a corruption and match fixing scandal, meaning they could not participate in both the 2016 and 2017 IPL tournaments.
Is this the last time we are seeing Yuvraj Singh in Indian colours? Ever since making his debut for India in 2000, Yuvraj Singh has been a proven match-winner in the limited-overs format and has done wellconsistently over the years. He was one of the reasons why India won2011 World Cup. Right after the 2011 World Cup, he faced the biggest battle of his career as he was diagnosed with cancer and since his return after overcoming the disease, Yuvraj has been a shadow of his past as the dashing southpaw has found it really hard to cope with the demands of the game. He has been in and out of the Indian team and struggled to get going whenever he got a chance to represent the Men in Blue. Once again, he was given a chance in the team earlier this year, which he made full use of by scoring 15...

Indian veteran batsman Yuvraj Singh feels that their emphatic 124-run win over arch-rivals Pakistan in an encounter of the Champions Trophy match here on Sunday has given them a flying start in their bid to defend the title. Asked to bat, the Indians rode on a power-packed performance by the top order to post a challenging total of 319/3 in an innings affected by rain twice -- and consequently shortened to 48 overs. Top-order batsmen Rohit Sharma (91 runs in 119 balls), skipper Virat Kohli (81 not out), Shikhar Dhawan (68 runs in 65 balls) and Yuvraj Singh (53 runs in 32 balls) were the major contributors. Further rain interruptions forced the match officials to revise the target to 289 runs off 41 overs according to the DL method. Pakistan were bowled out for 164 in 33.4 overs, thanks...

Yuvraj Singh's father Yograj Singh held Indian captain MS Dhoni behind the non-selection of his son for the 2015 World Cup, which started on February 14 and continue till March 29. Before the squad was picked for the World Cup, Yuvraj was a likely candidate to find a place in the squad. But the selectors ignored him despite a good performance in the Ranji Trophy for Punjab. According to his father, Yuvraj was pushed away from the list on the insistence of skipper Dhoni who doesn't share a good personal relationship with the dashing left-handed batsman. "If MS Dhoni is having personal issues with my son, I won't do anything, God will do justice. Pray India wins World Cup under your captaincy (MS Dhoni) but nothing can be more sad that you behaved this way," Yograj said.

Yuvraj Singh became reporter and interviewed Yuzvendra Chahal. Yuvraj started the question, “Ball zyaada Bhaari hai ya aap? (Which is heavier, the ball or you?),” to which Chahal, almost meekly answers, “I am a little heavier.” Chahal was the star for India in the third T20I at Bengaluru, taking six wickets for 25 runs. It is the best figures by an Indian bowler in T20s and he also thus became the first Indian to get a five wicket haul in T20 cricket. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe to OneIndia Hindi Channel for late...
