Chris Jackson may refer to:
Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf (born Chris Wayne Jackson on March 9, 1969) is an American former professional basketball player. Abdul-Rauf played basketball for Gulfport High School before enrolling to Louisiana State University to play college basketball for the Tigers.
His nine-year NBA career, spent with the Denver Nuggets, Sacramento Kings and Vancouver Grizzlies, was marked by an appearance in the Slam Dunk Contest as well as by one of the most accurate free-throw shooting records ever. Considered one of the greatest free-throw shooters in the history of the game, Abdul-Rauf missed the all time free-throw shooting NBA season record by only a single miss in the 1993–94 season. He sparked controversy for refusing to stand for the national anthem, and calling the Flag of the United States a symbol of oppression. After his NBA career, he played in multiple leagues around the world.
Abdul-Rauf was born in Gulfport, Mississippi the son of Jacqueline Jackson. He was raised in a single-parent family, along with his two brothers,Omar and David. His childhood was characterized by poverty, as there was times that he and his brothers were not able to have proper nutrition. Abdul-Rauf missed the Fourth grade and, later on, he was placed in special education classes. He suffered from a moderate form of Tourette syndrome, a condition that went undiagnosed until he was 17. Abdul-Rauf managed to overcome difficulties to become a basketball prodigy for Gulfport High School. In his senior season in high school he averaged 29.9 points and 5.7 assists per game and was called up to the McDonald's All-American Game. He was also named Mississippi Mr. Basketball twice, in 1987 and 1988.
Wardell Stephen "Steph" Curry II (born March 14, 1988) is an American professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is considered by some to be the greatest shooter in NBA history. Curry won the 2015 NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) award and is a three-time NBA All-Star.
Curry is the son of former NBA player Dell and older brother of current NBA player Seth. He played college basketball for Davidson. There, he was twice named Southern Conference Player of the Year and set the all-time scoring record for both Davidson and the Southern Conference. During his sophomore year, he also set the single-season NCAA record for three-pointers made.
Curry was selected with the seventh overall pick in the 2009 NBA draft by the Golden State Warriors. During the 2012–13 season, he set the NBA record for three-pointers made in a regular season with 272. The following year, Curry and teammate Klay Thompson were nicknamed the "Splash Brothers" en route to setting the NBA record for combined three-pointers in a season with 484. In 2014–15, Curry broke his own record for three-pointers made in a regular season with 286. That year, he led the Warriors to their first NBA championship since 1975.
The Heights or Heights may refer to:
In the Heights is a musical with music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, and a book by Quiara Alegría Hudes. The story is set over the course of three days, involving an ensemble cast of characters in the largely Dominican-American neighborhood of Washington Heights in New York City.
After productions in Connecticut (2005) and Off-Broadway (2007), the show opened in a Broadway theatre production in March 2008. This production was nominated for thirteen Tony Awards, winning four: Best Musical, Best Original Score, Best Choreography (Andy Blankenbuehler), and Best Orchestrations (Alex Lacamoire and Bill Sherman). It won a Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album. It was also nominated for the 2009 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
Miranda wrote the earliest draft of In the Heights in 1999, his sophomore year of college. After the show was accepted by Wesleyan University's student theater company Second Stage, Miranda worked on adding "freestyle rap ... bodegas, and salsa numbers." It played from April 20, 1999 to April 22, 1999. After seeing the play, three Wesleyan seniors and one alumnus, John Buffalo Mailer, Neil Stewart, Anthony Veneziale and Thomas Kail approached Miranda and asked if the play could be expanded to be on Broadway. In 2002, Miranda and Mailer worked with director Tommy Kail and wrote five separate drafts of In the Heights.

Chris Jackson describes what it’s like working for both “Bull” and Broadway’s “Hamilton” at the same time.
Damn, this could be the most impressive game by an NCAA player I've ever seen. Chris Jackson/Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf was a freshman participating in only his fifth college basketball game ever. Yet he drowns threes in the first seconds of the shot clock and fools seniors with his pump fakes and shake and bake moves like he had been doing this for years. What I loved most about the game is that he had no conscience whatever. LSU dominated the first half, only for Florida to come back and almost tie the game. Yet Jackson wouldn't let that happen by scoring 21 points in the span of about 6 or 7 minutes to ensure LSU's win. Amazing. NCAA 1988-89.
As we prepare for President Barack Obama's final days in office, we celebrate the profound legacy he leaves behind. Today, we look back on Christopher Jackson performing "One Last Time" during our visit to The White House. Teach 'em how to say goodbye. #ObamaLegacy
