Data

Data (/ˈdeɪtə/ DAY-tə, /ˈdætə/ DA-tə, or /ˈdɑːtə/ DAH-tə) is a set of values of qualitative or quantitative variables; restated, pieces of data are individual pieces of information. Data is measured, collected and reported, and analyzed, whereupon it can be visualized using graphs or images. Data as a general concept refers to the fact that some existing information or knowledge is represented or coded in some form suitable for better usage or processing.

Raw data, i.e. unprocessed data, is a collection of numbers, characters; data processing commonly occurs by stages, and the "processed data" from one stage may be considered the "raw data" of the next. Field data is raw data that is collected in an uncontrolled in situ environment. Experimental data is data that is generated within the context of a scientific investigation by observation and recording.

The Latin word "data" is the plural of "datum", and still may be used as a plural noun in this sense. Nowadays, though, "data" is most commonly used in the singular, as a mass noun (like "information", "sand" or "rain").

TED (conference)

TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) is a global set of conferences run by the private non-profit Sapling Foundation, under the slogan "Ideas Worth Spreading". The emphasis is on the entertainment aspect. TED was founded in 1984 as a one-off event; the annual conference series began in 1990. TED's early emphasis was technology and design, consistent with its Silicon Valley origins, but it has since broadened its focus to include talks on many scientific, cultural, and academic topics.

The main TED conference is held annually in Vancouver, Canada, and its companion TEDActive is held in Whistler, British Columbia. Prior to 2014, the two conferences were held in Long Beach and Palm Springs, California, respectively. TED events are also held throughout North America and in Europe and Asia, offering live streaming of the talks. They address a wide range of topics within the research and practice of science and culture, often through storytelling. The speakers are given a maximum of 18 minutes to present their ideas in the most innovative and engaging ways they can. Past speakers include Bill Clinton, Jane Goodall, Al Gore, Gordon Brown, Billy Graham, Richard Dawkins, Richard Stallman, Bill Gates, Bono, Mike Rowe, Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, and many Nobel Prize winners. TED's current curator is the British former computer journalist and magazine publisher Chris Anderson.

Sur ce point les entreprises ont fait de gros progrès mais il est possible d'aller plus loin dans la qualité et le processus d'écoute. Deuxio, une stratégie relationnelle performante et sur ce point 2 facteurs sont essentiels : la segmentation de vos clients et le rythme que vous impulsez, ce que l'on appelle la fréquence relationnelle. Ensuite l'accès au client : au-delà du multicanal, l'important est de créer et capitaliser des expériences client positives, c'est-à-dire des moments qui font que vous êtes unique pour vos clients. 4ème principe, la connaissance de vos clients : vous devez l'institutionnaliser, comme un contrat de confiance entre deux personnes. Avec le big data, elle doit être la propriété non pas de votre entreprise mais de vos clients qui la partagent avec vous. Et enfin l'excellence de la relation client : c'est une question de culture et de posture. Toutes les strates de l'entreprise doivent être formées au « One & Done », faire bien du premier coup, et à l'esprit de service. Sur ce dernier principe, beaucoup est à faire. Pour que ces 5 principes soient réellement actifs dans votre entreprise, ils doivent ajouter leurs effets et ne pas s'annihiler ou mal interférer comme c'est souvent le cas. Nous le voyons malheureusement dans nombre d'entreprises où nous intervenons.
