Akaki shall mean the monument to the former US president Ronald Reagan near Peace Bridge at Rike Park, where many go to the stand and sit next to this monument and take a photo of friends or family sitting next to it. I was profoundly moved by the quote inscribed there on the bench folding English, and in Georgian language, from Ronald Reagan, which, unable to get a clear photograph to the lighting on the metal finish of this monument, I did successfully get a film clip of. This former US presidential monument looks of the hill where since the Georgian presidential palace, built during former Georgian president Mihail Saakashvili’s time, the now governor of the Odessa region of the Ukraine. I am deeply afraid too many people do not understand the profound meaning behind what’s inscribed there, but apparently a small group of forward thinking, and very wise Georgians do - who made this month, and placed it in the location, and the way that they did. Thank you Akaki for pointing this out, and Kate and I were both very impressed at the depth and new knowledge and informative history we learned both about Georgia, Orthodox Christian church, and the ‘city that loves you’, ancient and modern Tbilisi. I remain sincerely surprised, and impressed by both the private tour Akaki gave us, and this is only a very small part of the day trips, partners, and walking tours he gives over the city of Tbilisi and in other cities and regions of Georgia.
