Osamu Tezuka (手塚 治虫, born 手塚 治 Tezuka Osamu, 3 November 1928 – 9 February 1989) was a Japanese manga artist, cartoonist, animator, film producer, medical doctor and activist. Born in Osaka Prefecture, he is best known as the creator of the comics series Astro Boy, Kimba the White Lion, Black Jack, and Phoenix. His prolific output, pioneering techniques, and innovative redefinitions of genres earned him such titles as "the father of manga", "the godfather of manga" and "the god of manga". Additionally, he is often considered the Japanese equivalent to Walt Disney, who served as a major inspiration during Tezuka's formative years

Osamu Tezuka
Osamu Tezuka (手塚 治虫, born 手塚 治, Tezuka Osamu, (1928-11-03)3 November 1928 – 9 February 1989) was a Japanese manga artist, cartoonist, animator, film producer, and activist. Born in Osaka Prefecture, he is best known as the creator of the comics series Astro Boy, Kimba the White Lion, Black Jack, and Phoenix. His prolific output, pioneering techniques, and innovative redefinitions of genres earned him such titles as "the father of manga", "the godfather of manga" and "the god of manga". Additionally, he is often considered the Japanese equivalent to Walt Disney, who served as a major inspiration during Tezuka's formative years.
Early life
Tezuka was the eldest of three children in Toyonaka City, Osaka. His nickname was gashagasha-atama (gashagasha is slang for messy, atama means head). His mother often comforted him by telling him to look to the blue skies, giving him confidence. His mother's stories inspired his creativity as well. Tezuka grew up in Takarazuka City, Hyōgo and his mother often took him to the Takarazuka Theatre. The Takarazuka Revue is performed by women, including the male characters. The Takarazuka Revue is known for its romantic musicals usually aimed at a female audience, thus having a large impact on the later works of Tezuka, including his costuming designs. He has said that he has a profound "spirit of nostalgia" for Takarazuka.

The Godfather
The Godfather is a 1972 American crime drama film directed by Francis Ford Coppola and produced by Albert S. Ruddy from a screenplay by Mario Puzo and Coppola. Starring Marlon Brando and Al Pacino as the leaders of the fictional Corleone New York crime family, the story spans the years 1945–55, concentrating on the transformation of Michael Corleone from reluctant family outsider to ruthless Mafia boss while chronicling the family under the patriarch Vito.
Based on Puzo's best-selling novel of the same name, The Godfather is widely regarded as one of the greatest films in world cinema—and as one of the most influential, especially in the gangster genre. Ranked second to Citizen Kane by the American Film Institute in 2007, it was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry of the Library of Congress in 1990 as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".
The film was the box office leader for 1972 and was, for a time, the highest-grossing picture ever made. It won three Academy Awards for that year: Best Picture, Best Actor (Brando) and in the category Best Adapted Screenplay for Puzo and Coppola. Its nominations in seven other categories included Pacino, James Caan and Robert Duvall for Best Supporting Actor and Coppola for Best Director. The success spawned two sequels: The Godfather Part II in 1974, and The Godfather Part III in 1990.

Yoh Yoshinari
Yoh Yoshinari (吉成 曜, Yoshinari Yō) is a Japanese key animator, storyboard artist, and anime director.
He is recognizable for the exaggerated style of his effects animation, especially for smoke and explosions, as well as his character action in general. His artistic style is particularly visible in his design work for Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, and Little Witch Academia.

Astro Boy
Astro Boy, known in Japan by its original name Mighty Atom (Japanese: 鉄腕アトム, Hepburn: Tetsuwan Atomu), is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Osamu Tezuka from 1952 to 1968. The story follows the adventures of an android named Astro Boy and a selection of other characters.
The manga was adapted for TV as Astro Boy, the first popular animated Japanese television series that embodied the aesthetic that later became familiar worldwide as anime. After enjoying success abroad, Astro Boy was remade in the 1980s as New Mighty Atom, known as Astroboy in other countries, and again in 2003. In November 2007, he was named Japan's envoy for overseas safety. An American computer-animated film based on the original manga series by Tezuka was released on October 23, 2009. In March 2015, a trailer was released announcing a new animated series.
Plot
Astro Boy is a science fiction series set in a futuristic world where Robots co-exist with humans. Its focus is on the adventures of the titular "Astro Boy" (sometimes called simply "Astro"): a powerful android created by the head of the Ministry of Science, Doctor Tenma (aka Dr. Astor Boyton II in the 1960 English dub). Dr. Tenma created Astro to replace his son Tobio ('Astor' in the 1960s English dub; 'Toby' in the 1980s English dub and the 2009 film), who died in a car accident (ran away in the 2003 anime; vaporized in the 2009 film). Dr. Tenma built Astro in Tobio's memory and treated Astro as lovingly as if he was the real Tobio. However, Dr. Tenma soon realized that the little android could not fill the void of his lost son, especially given that Astro could not grow older or express human aesthetics (in one set of panels in the manga, Astro is shown preferring the mechanical shapes of cubes over the organic shapes of flowers). In the original 1960 edition, Tenma rejected Astro and sold him to a cruel circus owner, Hamegg (the Great Cacciatore in the '60 English dub).

saludos hoy les traigo un tributo al dios del manga Osamu Tezuka Entusiasmado por el género de la animación, comenzó a dibujar cuando aún era un niño. Los horrores de la Segunda Guerra Mundial también marcaron su sensibilidad y desde el primer momento procuró transmitir con sus dibujos mensajes optimistas y humanitarios. Su primer trabajo de importancia lo realizó a los 20 años. Se trató de la serie Shin Takarajima ("La nueva Isla del tesoro"), pero hasta los años 1950 no surgieron la mayor parte de sus grandes y famosos personajes, como jungle Taitei, Tetsuwan Atom ("Astroboy") y el no menos famoso Ribbon No Kishi ("La princesa caballero"), considerado el primer manga del género shojo de la historia. El éxito continuó en las siguientes décadas, con series como Hi no Tori ("Fénix", 1954, Black Jack (1973-84), Buddha (1972-83) y Adolf (1983), dando un giro profundo con la culminación de la serie MW (1976-1978), en la que abordó temas muy poco frecuentes en el manga de la época, como la homosexualidad, la corrupción política o las armas químicas. Osamu Tezuka falleció el 9 de febrero de 1989 producto de un cáncer estomacal a la edad de 60 años, prácticamente un mes después de la muerte del emperador Hirohito, dejando así inacabadas las obras a las que se dedicaba entonces, Ludwig B y Neo Faust. La considerada por muchos su obra maestra, Hi no Tori, la había acabado un año antes de su muerte. Al poco tiempo de su muerte, algunos de los periódicos japoneses más importantes pidieron que se le entregara el premio Nobel de literatura, aunque fue rechazado. Nadie le discutió; sin embargo, su aclamación como «el dios del manga», perpetuando así su influencia en generaciones de lectores y autores, y en la historia y cultura de todo un país en su conjunto. saludos hoy les traigo un tributo al dios del manga Osamu Tezuka Entusiasmado por el género de la animación, comenzó a dibujar cuando aún era un niño. Los horrores de la Segunda Guerra Mundial también marcaron su sensibilidad y desde el primer momento procuró transmitir con sus dibujos mensajes optimistas y humanitarios. Su primer trabajo de importancia lo realizó a los 20 años. saludos hoy les traigo un tributo al dios del manga Osamu Tezuka
Entusiasmado por el género de la animación, comenzó a dibujar cuando aún era un niño. Los horrores de la Segunda Guerra Mundial también marcaron su sensibilidad y desde el primer momento procuró transmitir con sus dibujos mensajes optimistas y humanitarios.
Su primer trabajo de importancia lo realizó a los 20 años. Se trató de la serie Shin Takarajima ("La nueva Isla del tesoro"), pero hasta los años 1950 no surgieron la mayor parte de sus grandes y famosos personajes, como jungle Taitei, Tetsuwan Atom ("Astroboy") y el no menos famoso Ribbon No Kishi ("La princesa caballero"), considerado el primer manga del género shojo de la historia. El éxito continuó en las siguientes décadas, con series como Hi no Tori ("Fénix", 1954, Black Jack (1973-84), Buddha (1972-83) y Adolf (1983), dando un giro profundo con la culminación de la serie MW (1976-1978), en la que abordó temas muy poco frecuentes en el manga de la época, como la homosexualidad, la corrupción política o las armas químicas.
Osamu Tezuka falleció el 9 de febrero de 1989 producto de un cáncer estomacal a la edad de 60 años, prácticamente un mes después de la muerte del emperador Hirohito, dejando así inacabadas las obras a las que se dedicaba entonces, Ludwig B y Neo Faust. La considerada por muchos su obra maestra, Hi no Tori, la había acabado un año antes de su muerte.
Al poco tiempo de su muerte, algunos de los periódicos japoneses más importantes pidieron que se le entregara el premio Nobel de literatura, aunque fue rechazado. Nadie le discutió; sin embargo, su aclamación como «el dios del manga», perpetuando así su influencia en generaciones de lectores y autores, y en la historia y cultura de todo un país en su conjunto. Desde 1997 se ha celebrado anualmente el premio Cultural Tezuka Osamu, en honor al aporte de Tezuka al manga moderno, premio donde son galardonados aquellos mangaka que siguen la visión de Tezuka.

Like the 1960s episodes of Doctor Who, there are a lot of Big X episodes that are currently missing. For a long time the first 39 episodes were thought to be lost forever, and the Japanese VHS and laserdisc releases of the 1990s only included episodes 40-59. But just as missing Doctor Who episodes continue to be found, a 16mm print of Big X episode 1 turned up (oddly enough, in the hands of an American film collector), and more recently episode 11 was found as well. And now, you can finally enjoy the Big X origin story complete with English subtitles.
In the original manga Akira injects himself with the Big X formula in order to grow all big and super-heroic, but in the TV series the needle-pen injector has been changed into to a beam device, presumably to avoid an epidemic of copycat intravenous drug use on Japanese playgrounds. On the other hand, the first episode does feature a WWII flashback where Hitler offs himself with a bullet to the head.

Raggiunta un'ètà adulta Godo viene bruscamente chiamato a presentarsi alla scuola spaziale, per un anno di addestramento intensivo. La scuola per Godo risulta scioccante: gli viene subito ordinato di privarsi di Olga, una ragazza robot unica sua amica fin dagli anni della sua infanzia, e viene sottoposto ad esercizi massacranti e a ordini crudeli.

Born in Osaka Prefecture, he is best known as the creator of Astro Boy, Kimba the White Lion and Black Jack. He is often credited as the "Godfather of Anime", and is often considered the Japanese equivalent to Walt Disney, who served as a major inspiration during his formative years. Born in Osaka Prefecture, he is best known as the creator of Astro Boy, Kimba the White Lion and Black Jack. He is often credited as the "Godfather of Anime", and is often considered the Japanese equivalent to Walt Disney, who served as a major inspiration during his formative years. His prolific output, pioneering techniques, and innovative redefinitions of genres earned him such titles as "the father of manga", "the god of comics"and "kamisama of manga".His grave is located in Tokyo's Souzen-ji Temple Cemetery.
