which is like a small RV

I bought this for my boat, which is like a small RV. There is a small stove inside, and I like to make coffee and tea -- boil water -- but space is at a premium, and when we are underway and heeling -- sometimes things go flying around the cabin.

This compresses down flat, great for storage. You don't need to open it up all the way if you don't want a full pot. Pop it up just a bit, and boil just a bit of water. The bottom is metal. I use natural gas flame to heat this thing, and at first I was kind of cautious about melting the silicone or the handle -- no worry. It handles it fine, even with a small bit of flame licking on the side.

The handle also locks open. Kind of a neat feature.

Well made, folds flat, works well, doesn't bend or break when flying across a room.... Good deal.

Holds about a liter, the silicone doesn't get too hot, and the handle is more sturdy than I would have expected from the design.
I've used it a few times at home & on a camping trip, and have no complaints so far.

If you can only invest in one of piece of camping gear, this is a nice little piece. Much greater capacity that it appears. Water heats pretty fast when using mini-stove. I was able to make enough water for a cup of instant Cappuccino and soup. The ease of use and flat packing made this a dream piece!

Neat Gift Idea for RV'ers

Cute! Also doubles as a toy for a 5 and 2 year old. ;) Purchased as a gift for my mother. She just got an RV and space is at a premium. She can use this for her tea and hot chocolate in the coming winter months. She thought it was neatest! So did the kids. They just wanted to collapse it and pop it open over and over again.

Kettle works great! it collapses very well although at times gets off kilter. the spout is better than the one I use at home! The way the handle locks seems very thoughtful, and the material is nice to hold. I am a barista so this was a necessity when it comes to outdoor supplies, now my outdoor pour overs will be on point!

Superb little item. We used it backpacking with our kids. It boiled all the water for our 5 person family. Gotta make sure not to put that black handle over an open flame. Highly doubtful it would survive. But it was fine over our little portable, white gas, burner.

This a great product. I keep this in my camping gear where packing area is at a premium.

The kettle boils up water just fine and doesn't leave an aftertaste.

You do have to give it a good washing prior to first use to get and manufacturing residue out.
