Incident #1: DC 16-26-054809 On October 29, 2016, at 11:45 am,an unknown black male entered Park Men’s Wear located at 2635 Germantown Avenue and approached an employee, a 70 year-old female, armed with a handgun stating “I’m hungry!” The suspect then went behind the counter demanding to know where the money was. The employee then directed the suspect to the register where he took an unknown amount of money. After persisting for more money the complainant screamed causing the suspect flee on a bicycle and was last seen south on Germantown Avenue. Incident #2: DC 16-25-091791 On October 29, 2016, at 7:15 pm, an employee, a 20 year-old female, who is an employee for Burger King located at 701 West Lehigh Avenue observed an unknown black male at the counter. When she went to help him he asked for change for $5. When he was informed him that she could not open the register without a purchase he ordered two (2) cookies. When the employee opened the cash register, he pulled a handgun demanding money from the cash register. After complying with the suspects demands giving him an unknown amount of money from the cash register he fled in an unknown direction. Incident #3: DC 16-25-092254 On October 31, 2016, at 10:50 am, an unknown black male entered the Rebecca Nail Salon located at 3547 Germantown Avenue and asked an employee, a 32 year-old female, to trim his beard. When the male was told they only do nails he left the store only to return a short time later armed with a firearm demanding to know where the money was. After showing the suspect where the money was he took an unknown amount of money. As the suspect was leaving the store he threatened the employees then fled and was last seen north on Germantown Avenue. Incident #4: DC 16-22-088987 On Monday October 31, 2016, at 11:00 am. an employee, a 21 year-old female, was working as the cashier for a Dunkin Donuts located at 2344 North Broad Street when an unknown black male entered the store and approached her at the counter asking for change. When the cashier opened the cash register the suspect pulled a handgun and pointed it at her demanding money. When the employee handed the suspect an undetermined amount of money he fled and was last seen on a bicycle west on York Street. No injuries reported during this incident. Suspect Description: Black male, mid to late 30 years-of-age, dark complected, black jacket, black hat. Incident #5: DC 16-26-055157 On Monday, October 31, 2016, at 2:00 pm, an unknown black male entered a Dunkin’ Donuts located at 532 West Lehigh Avenue and stood in line posing as a customer. While at the counter he pulled a handgun and pointed it an employee, an 18 year-old female, demanding money. After the employee fled to the rear of the store the suspect then grabbed a second employee forcing her to open the cash register drawers. When the employee stated she was unable to open the register he grabbed an unknown amount of money from a till that was lying on the counter then and fled from the store on a black mountain bike and was last seen south 6th Street from Lehigh Avenue. Incident #6: On November 1, 2016, at 4:00 pm, an unknown black male entered a Boost Mobile store located at 3152 Frankford Avenue looking around the store. A short time later the suspect approached the cash register where an employee, a 22 year-old female, was waiting on a patron, a 34 year-old female, and pulled a handgun pointing it at the patron taking an unknown amount of money from her hand. The suspect then pointed the handgun at the employee and reached over the counter and taking an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register then fled on foot and was last seen towards Clearfield Street.
