Recording Info:
flac-files of unknown generation -> wetransfer -> Magix Music Cleaning Lab (re-edit/remaster) -> FLAC (44,1 kHz, 16 Bit, Stereo) -> DIME

Very good sound, some EQ was done. Mainly treble was lifted as the original sounded a bit dull. The tracks were newly edited. Last track is cut before end.
Also there are fades between some tracks (between 9/10, 10/11, 11/12). Comparing this show to other shows for the tour it seems that at least the first 2 songs
(Caribbean Sunset + The Hunt) are missing.

I rather quite hate to say it again but this is once more a rare recording which means it's very little circulated. This copy is not the lowest gen by judging the
sound but after some EQ was done very listenable (check sample). The show is without any extraordinarity compared to the other shows of this tour (with the exception
of A Child's Christmas In Wales which was not played often at the tour) but as with each Cale show the tracks are always played at least a little bit differently.
So enjoy it!

Man / Keystone, Berkeley, CA - March 23, 1975 - KSAN-FM

I found this on a YouTube stream; the screenname Vampirrecs is posting some reel to reel tapes he recorded off of the radio (and also some soundboards).  It's intriguing stuff...I recorded it and chaptered it for you.  The last song "Romain" was repeated twice on this broadcast.  Apparently during the tape editing process it was dubbed twice.  As the two versions were the same recording, I deleted the duplicated material (but left the deejay's comment about the duplication, which now doesn't make as much sense.   As the YouTube stream is already lossy, I've put this up as .mp3@whatver YouTube uses for their audio.

LINK CURRENTLY DOWN TO MAKE ROOM FOR OTHER SHOWS....

Paul Rodgers / Live From Electric Ladyland - April 29, 1993

Live From Electric Ladyland was a syndicated radio show distributed on CD by the Album Network in conjunction with New York City's WNEW-FM radio station. I've seen copies dated from 1990 to 1993, so it looks like it only lasted for about three years.  The copies I've seen on Ebay have never had cue sheets included. This Paul Rodgers show had a fax of the cue sheet with it.  It's possible that they faxed cue sheets rather than printed them up and mailed them with the compact disc.

Paul Rodgers was promoting his second solo "Muddy Water Blues: A Tribute To Muddy Waters."  That album featured modern reinterpretations of songs by Muddy Waters, with contributions from Brian May, Buddy Guy, David Gilmour, Jeff Beck, Neal Schon, Gary Moore, Brian Setzer, Richie Sambora, Slash, Steve Miller, Jason Bonham and Trevor Rabin.

On the album, Neil Schon soloed on "Born Under A Bad Sign" and the electric version of "Muddy Water Blues."  This show gives you a chance to hear more of the songs with Schon as the guitar player.

This version is sourced directly from the syndicated disc.  There is a small amount of compression added to the tracks that is present on the original disc. Flac files of wavs.  I've included a scan of the faxed cue sheet and the CD.

Bell Heirs: California Sun / Shakin' It Down 45

Here's a GREAT 45 RPM single that unfortunately didn't lead to a great career for a band.  The lead guitarist, Robert Johnson, managed to get a couple of albums out in the late 1970s, but it never led to the widespread popularity he deserved.  If this sounds good to you, track down his "Close Personal Friend" and "Memphis Demos" CD, which is currently still in print.

Back in 1978, when this came out, the local record emporium (Tower Records, Berkeley) had a separate "ghetto" in the back of the store for anything that fell into the "punk" or "New Wave" category.  Regular pop singles and albums were filed in racks in the front of the store.  WAAAAY in the far back of the store was a small section that held a smattering of singles and three columns of albums, and this was the sort of record that was shunted into the back of the store in 1978.  (At the time, groups like the Cars, Police, and Elvis Costello were back there, too...unfit to sit next to Andy Gibb, the BeeGees, and the Rolling Stones).

While this 45 was racked with the punk and New Wave records, it's stylistically more of a straight ahead rock and roll/Power Pop record.

This is a VERY GOOD transfer of the single, so while we usually stick to albums or radio broadcasts here, give this a shot if you like old fashioned rock n' roll.

I have scanned in both sides of the 45 record sleeve and the disc labels at 300 dpi.  The music is flac files of wavs, which I declicked in Audacity, one click at a time, to give you a perfect clone of the original single.

Cindy Bullens / Steal The Night - 1979

Cindy Bullens started her career by singing back up for Elton John on three tours, as well as working on the hit single "Don't Go Breaking My Heart," and the Blues Moves LP.  Bullens had three leads vocals on the Grease soundtrack, which earned her a Grammy nomination.  Her debut album, Desire Wire (United Artists), got her a second nomination.

As the United Artists label crashed and burned, Bullens signed with Casablanca for her second album, Steal The Night. In 1980 she married and took a ten year hiatus to raise her children.

Her 1970's albums have never been released on CD.  This is a needle drop of Steal The Night from a mint copy of the album.  Clicks and pops have been removed one click at a time in Audacity.   Flac files of wavs.  Scans of the album cover and inside sleeve (with lyrics) have been included.
