Micro or Mikro, from the Greek μικρός (mikrós), means "small". It can be used to indicate a smaller than average scale (microscopic scale), as opposed to prefixes mega and macro, which can be used to indicate a larger than average scale.
Micro may refer to:
Electro-Harmonix is a New York-based company that makes high-end electronic audio processors and sells rebranded vacuum tubes. The company was founded by Mike Matthews in 1968. It is best known for a series of popular guitar effects pedals introduced in the 1970s and 1990s.
During the mid-70s, Electro Harmonix had established itself as a pioneer and leading manufacturer of guitar effects pedals. These electronic devices were cutting edge technology and innovations. Electro-Harmonix was the first company to introduce, manufacture, and market affordable state-of-the art "stomp-boxes" for guitarist and bassists, such as the first stomp-box flanger (Electric Mistress); The first analog echo/delay with no moving parts (Memory Man); The first guitar synthesizer in pedal form (Micro Synthesizer); The first tube-amp distortion simulator (Hot Tubes). In 1980, Electro-Harmonix also designed and marketed one of the first digital delay/looper pedals (16-Second Digital Delay).
Club Mix is a two-disc album remixed by British musician/DJ Sonique and released in 2001.
Electro house is a form of house music. Electro house is characterized by a prominent bassline and/or kick drum and a tempo between 125 and 135 beats per minute. Its origins were influenced by electro, electroclash, electropop, synthpop, and tech house. The term has been used to describe the music of many DJ Mag Top 100 DJs, including Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Hardwell, Skrillex, and Steve Aoki.
Electro-house is typified by its heavy bass. This is often in the form of buzzing basslines, such as those created with sawtooth waves and distortion. It is also often in the form of large bass drum sounds in a four-to-the-floor pattern. The tempo of electro house is usually around 130 beats per minute. Electro house sometimes resembles tech house, but it can contain melodic elements and electro-influenced samples and synths.
The genre has been described as a fusion genre of house and electro, either in its original form or as fused with electropop and techno in its late-1990s revival, electroclash. The word electro is now often used as an adjective, such as electro-house and electro-pop.
In computer networks, to download is to receive data from a remote system, typically a server such as a web server, an FTP server, an email server, or other similar systems. This contrasts with uploading, where data is sent to a remote server..
A download is a file offered for downloading or that has been downloaded, or the process of receiving such a file.
Downloading generally transfers the whole data object for local storage and later use, as contrasted with streaming, where the data is used nearly immediately, while the transmission is still in progress, and which may not be stored long-term.
Increasingly, websites that offer streaming media or media displayed in-browser, such as YouTube, and which place restrictions on the ability of users to save these materials to their computers after they have been received, forbid downloading in the sense of "receive and save" rather than simply "receive". Downloading is not the same as "transferring" (i.e., sending/receiving data between two storage devices would be a transferral of data, but receiving data from the Internet would be considered a download).

There will always be pedals that will come to our attention and change how we approach making sound. The all analog Electro Harmonix Micro Synthesizer forever changed what I do with my fretless bass. This pedal alone can transcend my instrument into a synthesizer. Though I have featured the Microsynth on PedalsAndEffects before, this vintage 1970′s Micro Synthesizer I found at Future Music is easily the most radical in terms of filters and enveloping and in this video, I think it will convince you that this is the best synthesizer pedal out there. This video was shot and edited by Scott Ward for Vato Negro Productions.
