Hassan (crater)

Hassan is an impact crater on the southern hemisphere of Saturn's moon Enceladus. Hassan was first observed in Cassini images during that mission's March 2005 flyby of Enceladus. It is located at 31.3° South Latitude, 188.5° West Longitude, and is 14.5 kilometers across. Numerous criss-crossing fractures cut across Hassan, breaking up the regolith on the crater floor.

Hassan is named after the main character from the tale "Hassan of Bassorah" from The Book of One Thousand and One Nights.

Hassan (Chupanids)

Amir Hasan was a Chupanid prince of the Ilkhanate in the early 14th century. He was the first son of Chupan.

Hasan had been made viceroy of Khurasan and Mazandaran during his father's lifetime. When Coban fled to Herat and was subsequently executed, Hasan took refuge with Ozbek Khan of the Blue Horde. He served under the khan and died of wounds he received in battle. Hasan had three sons: Tales, the governor of Isfahan, Fars, and Kerman, who accompanied him to the Blue Horde and died there; Haji Beg; and Quc Hosayn, who was put to death in 1343 on the orders of the Ilkhan Suleiman Khan.

Hassan (Lok Sabha constituency)

Hassan Lok Sabha constituency (Kannada Hasana loka sabha chunavana kshetra)is one of the 28 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Karnataka state in southern India. It is the home town of former prime minister H. D. Deve Gowda, who as of 2014 is the current member of parliament representing this constituency in the 16th Lok Sabha. This constituency covers the entire Hassan district and part of Chikmagalur district.

In chemistry, the volume fraction φ_i is defined as the volume of a constituent V_i divided by the volume of all constituents of the mixture V prior to mixing:

Vol. 4 (Black Sabbath album)

Vol. 4 is the fourth studio album by English heavy metal band Black Sabbath, released in September 1972. It was the first album by Black Sabbath not produced by Rodger Bain; guitarist Tony Iommi assumed production duties. Patrick Meehan, the band's then-manager, was listed as co-producer, though his actual involvement in the album's production was minimal at best.

Recording

In June 1972, Black Sabbath reconvened in Los Angeles to begin work on their fourth album at the Record Plant Studios. The recording process was plagued with problems, many due to substance abuse issues. In the studio, the band regularly had large speaker boxes full of cocaine delivered. While struggling to record the song "Cornucopia" after "sitting in the middle of the room, just doing drugs",Bill Ward feared that he was about to be fired from the band. "I hated the song, there were some patterns that were just horrible", Ward said. "I nailed it in the end, but the reaction I got was the cold shoulder from everybody. It was like 'Well, just go home, you're not being of any use right now.' I felt like I'd blown it, I was about to get fired". According to the book How Black Was Our Sabbath, Bill Ward "was always a drinker, but rarely appeared drunk. Retrospectively, that might have been a danger sign. Now, his self-control was clearly slipping." Iommi claims in his autobiography that Ward almost died after a prank-gone-wrong during recording of the album. The Bel Air mansion the band was renting belonged to John DuPont of the DuPont chemical company and the band found several spray cans of gold DuPont paint in a room of the house; finding Ward naked and unconscious after drinking heavily, they proceeded to cover the drummer in gold paint from head to toe.

Kimera (manga)

Kimera, stylized as Ki*Me*Ra, is a two-volume manga series written and illustrated by Kazuma Kodaka and serialized in Super Jump. It was adapted into a single episode original video animation by Toho in 1996. Both the manga and OVA were licensed and released in English by ADV Films. It focuses on a man named Osamu, who falls in love with an androgynous vampire-like man named Kimera, being held by the Air Force and hunted by two other vampires. One vampire wishes to use Kimera for his/her hermaphroditic nature as the mother to revive their dying race, while another wishes to kill Kimera to save him/her from a fate Kimera did not desire.

Plot (OVA)

Two cereal salesmen, Osamu and Jay, are driving along when they come upon an accident scene. They are ordered by Air Force to flee, but before they can they are attacked by vampiric creatures. Osamu is blown into a trailer where he finds a beautiful, green-haired androgynous-looking figure, Kimera, inside a cryogenic container. A silver bell he recently purchased and wears around his neck rings, waking the creature inside who kisses him through the glass. Two of the vampiric creatures arrive, with a long ebony-haired male vampire attacking Osamu, and a disfigured one defending him. They disappear, and Osamu and Jay are taken to the Air Force base. They are released as Jay's father, Dr. Gibson, is on the research team there.
