Child is a trio of jam-obsessed first-class musicians, who met in 2012 in the rock underground of Melbourne. Between the three working class Australians Mathias (guitar/vocals), Michael (drums) and Danny Smith (bass), who can best be described as a blues fanatic with liquid steel as blood, grew as strong a musical band as a group of Musicians can only cultivate and nurture themselves by the unabated urge for intense jam. Child combine the heavy emotion of the blues with the tone and raw power of hard rock to create a visceral musical experience.
If any person of the Woodstockian era were to experience time-travelling into the current timeline, Melbournian trio Child would be the only band they’d need to bring back to take part in one of the most historical musical festivals of all time. Having their debut self-titled spread their name across the globe, Child have taken it up a notch with their second, and probably best effort to date under the name Blueside. Even though their Self-Titled did bring quite a large dosage of heavily distorted tones, Mathias Northway and co. managed to keep the fuzzy blues sound going with an extra stimulating drive to the effects to their audible fingerprint. The entirety of this forty minute long, five track record is nothing short of a regal and hypnotic journey that not even hallucinogens could interpret.
Nailed to the Ceiling opens up with mysterious scratches that come from the guitar, before diving into the main features that Child provide. From there, tracks such as It’s Cruel to be Kind and Blue Side of the Collar execute a series of chill, but also mildly sludgy and heavily nostalgic moments that go way back to the roots of the blues. B-Siders Dirty Woman and The Man, both being the longest tracks of Blueside, take more seductive approaches. Northway’s smooth, gospel-like voice resurrects the spirit Robert Johnson throughout the process of The Man, carrying some incredible blues licks on the strings at the same time.
Overall, with what Child deliver in their second LP, it’s clear that they’ve given the most promising result of psychedelic acid blues music. The wisdom in their tunes feels nothing more than a prodigious product that makes them stand out from every other ensemble in this worldwide field of audio. This is what the true revival of blues and stoner music really sounds like, and plenty of Aussie bands of any genre may wanna watch out for what Child are able to conjure up in the studio. They just may surpass more than just a handful of them. With this record reaching out before the end of the year, it’s safe to say we have another contender that deserves to be in the top ten lists for 2016.

AN 11-YEAR-OLD boy weighing 30 stone and named the heaviest child in the world has had life-saving surgery after eating himself to near-death. Arya Permana from Karawang in West Java, Indonesia, weighed the same as six boys his own age and struggled to walk more than five minutes at a time. After years of over-feeding him, parents Ade and Rokayah Soemantri were eventually convinced that their young son had to have drastic surgery or he’d die. Travelling to the Omni hospital in Jakarta, Arya was the youngest person to ever undergo a five-hour gastric sleeve operation.

Fragile Zoe Lush has a rare condition which means her bones are so delicate they ‘break in the wind’. Zoe broke several bones whilst she was still in the womb, shattered her collarbone during birth and broke another 100 bones before her first birthday. Now Zoe, who is six-years-old, has broken almost every bone in her body and was almost internally decapitated after bones in her neck began to wear away. Zoe lives with her mum Chelsea Lush, dad, Curtis Lush, and three year old brother Felix, in Huntington Beach, California.

Child
Biologically, a child (plural: children) is a human between the stages of birth and puberty. The legal definition of child generally refers to a minor, otherwise known as a person younger than the age of majority.

This is ratified by 192 of 194 member countries. In U.S. Immigration Law, a child refers to anyone who is under the age of 21.

Film festival
A film festival is an organized, extended presentation of films in one or more cinemas or screening venues, usually in a single city or region. Increasingly, film festivals show some films outdoors. Festival

My Child is Dreaming: The idyllic world of children against adults' dreamlike visions. When my daughter was born I bought my first diary. In the beginning I was just taking notes of her progress, reactions and likes. Then I began writing about my dreams as well. After two years, I've collected all the most beautiful bits to create a video. From such duality, a project called "My child is dreaming" was born. Done as part of my graduation project at The Department of Visual Communication, Shenkar College, 2014 Parental child - a real discussion about silenced issue The video focuses on the 'sensitive', the 'Graduate' and 'gifted' child. These expressions may be misleading, since the child is not necessarily a talented child, but a sensitive and aware child. Child infancy identifies the needs of parents and adapts to them. The child gives up entirely of his innocent childhood, his true self and produces a 'fake me'. Subconsciously this child feeling that his parents will never like him for himself, just as fulfilling expectations. Child is a trio of jam-obsessed first-class musicians, who met in 2012 in the rock underground of Melbourne. Between the three working class Australians Mathias (guitar/vocals), Michael (drums) and Danny Smith (bass), who can best be described as a blues fanatic with liquid steel as blood, grew as strong a musical band as a group of Musicians can only cultivate and nurture themselves by the unabated urge for intense jam. Child combine the heavy emotion of the blues with the tone and raw power of hard rock to create a visceral musical experience.
If any person of the Woodstockian era were to experience time-travelling into the current timeline, Melbournian trio Child would be the only band they’d need to bring back to take part in one of the most historical musical festivals of all time. Having their debut self-titled spread their name across the globe, Child have taken it up a notch with their second, and probably best effort to date under the name Blueside. Even though their Self-Titled did bring quite a large dosage of heavily distorted tones, Mathias Northway and co. managed to keep the fuzzy blues sound going with an extra stimulating drive to the effects to their audible fingerprint. The entirety of this forty minute long, five track record is nothing short of a regal and hypnotic journey that not even hallucinogens could interpret.
Nailed to the Ceiling opens up with mysterious scratches that come from the guitar, before diving into the main features that Child provide. From there, tracks such as It’s Cruel to be Kind and Blue Side of the Collar execute a series of chill, but also mildly sludgy and heavily nostalgic moments that go way back to the roots of the blues. B-Siders Dirty Woman and The Man, both being the longest tracks of Blueside, take more seductive approaches. Northway’s smooth, gospel-like voice resurrects the spirit Robert Johnson throughout the process of The Man, carrying some incredible blues licks on the strings at the same time.
Overall, with what Child deliver in their second LP, it’s clear that they’ve given the most promising result of psychedelic acid blues music. The wisdom in their tunes feels nothing more than a prodigious product that makes them stand out from every other ensemble in this worldwide field of audio. This is what the true revival of blues and stoner music really sounds like, and plenty of Aussie bands of any genre may wanna watch out for what Child are able to conjure up in the studio. They just may surpass more than just a handful of them. With this record reaching out before the end of the year, it’s safe to say we have another contender that deserves to be in the top ten lists for 2016.

Child is a trio of jam-obsessed first-class musicians, who met in 2012 in the rock underground of Melbourne. Between the three working class Australians Mathias (guitar/vocals), Michael (drums) and Danny Smith (bass), who can best be described as a blues fanatic with liquid steel as blood, grew as strong a musical band as a group of Musicians can only cultivate and nurture themselves by the unabated urge for intense jam. Child combine the heavy emotion of the blues with the tone and raw power of hard rock to create a visceral musical experience.
If any person of the Woodstockian era were to experience time-travelling into the current timeline, Melbournian trio Child would be the only band they’d need to bring back to take part in one of the most historical musical festivals of all time. Having their debut self-titled spread their name across the globe, Child have taken it up a notch with their second, and probably best effort to date under the name Blueside. Even though their Self-Titled did bring quite a large dosage of heavily distorted tones, Mathias Northway and co. managed to keep the fuzzy blues sound going with an extra stimulating drive to the effects to their audible fingerprint. The entirety of this forty minute long, five track record is nothing short of a regal and hypnotic journey that not even hallucinogens could interpret.
Nailed to the Ceiling opens up with mysterious scratches that come from the guitar, before diving into the main features that Child provide. From there, tracks such as It’s Cruel to be Kind and Blue Side of the Collar execute a series of chill, but also mildly sludgy and heavily nostalgic moments that go way back to the roots of the blues. B-Siders Dirty Woman and The Man, both being the longest tracks of Blueside, take more seductive approaches. Northway’s smooth, gospel-like voice resurrects the spirit Robert Johnson throughout the process of The Man, carrying some incredible blues licks on the strings at the same time.
Overall, with what Child deliver in their second LP, it’s clear that they’ve given the most promising result of psychedelic acid blues music. The wisdom in their tunes feels nothing more than a prodigious product that makes them stand out from every other ensemble in this worldwide field of audio. This is what the true revival of blues and stoner music really sounds like, and plenty of Aussie bands of any genre may wanna watch out for what Child are able to conjure up in the studio. They just may surpass more than just a handful of them. With this record reaching out before the end of the year, it’s safe to say we have another contender that deserves to be in the top ten lists for 2016.

Arya Permana from Karawang in West Java, Indonesia, weighed the same as six boys his own age and struggled to walk more than five minutes at a time. After years of over-feeding him, parents Ade and Rokayah Soemantri were eventually convinced that their young son had to have drastic surgery or he’d die. Travelling to the Omni hospital in Jakarta, Arya was the youngest person to ever undergo a five-hour gastric sleeve operation.
World's Heaviest Child: Extraordinary People airs on Thursday 1st June at 10pm on Channel 5.

Zoe lives with her mum Chelsea Lush, dad, Curtis Lush, and three year old brother Felix, in Huntington Beach, California.

The idyllic world of children against adults' dreamlike visions.
When my daughter was born I bought my first diary.
In the beginning I was just taking notes of her progress, reactions and likes.
Then I began writing about my dreams as well.
After two years, I've collected all the most beautiful bits to create a video.
From such duality, a project called "My child is dreaming" was born.
It is an introspective journey full of metaphors and paradoxes that put in contrast the idyllic and enchanted world of children with adults' dreamlike visions, sometimes a bit pessimistic and obsessive.

Parental child - a real discussion about silenced issue
The video focuses on the 'sensitive', the 'Graduate' and 'gifted' child. These expressions may be misleading, since the child is not necessarily a talented child, but a sensitive and aware child. Child infancy identifies the needs of parents and adapts to them. The child gives up entirely of his innocent childhood, his true self and produces a 'fake me'. Subconsciously this child feeling that his parents will never like him for himself, just as fulfilling expectations.
Equally tragic is the situation of the parents, who make an effort, trying and trying, but fail to respond to the real needs of the child, they can't adapt themselves to him which only increase the suffering of both sides.
I hope my project will raise awareness among both:
- parents who are unable to understand the consequences for the child
- children who are unable to identify the phenomenon of parental child in their lives.

Child is a trio of jam-obsessed first-class musicians, who met in 2012 in the rock underground of Melbourne. Between the three working class Australians Mathias (guitar/vocals), Michael (drums) and Danny Smith (bass), who can best be described as a blues fanatic with liquid steel as blood, grew as strong a musical band as a group of Musicians can only cultivate and nurture themselves by the unabated urge for intense jam. Child combine the heavy emotion of the blues with the tone and raw power of hard rock to create a visceral musical experience.
If any person of the Woodstockian era were to experience time-travelling into the current timeline, Melbournian trio Child would be the only band they’d need to bring back to take part in one of the most historical musical festivals of all time. Having their debut self-titled spread their name across the globe, Child have taken it up a notch with their second, and probably best effort to date under the name Blueside. Even though their Self-Titled did bring quite a large dosage of heavily distorted tones, Mathias Northway and co. managed to keep the fuzzy blues sound going with an extra stimulating drive to the effects to their audible fingerprint. The entirety of this forty minute long, five track record is nothing short of a regal and hypnotic journey that not even hallucinogens could interpret.
Nailed to the Ceiling opens up with mysterious scratches that come from the guitar, before diving into the main features that Child provide. From there, tracks such as It’s Cruel to be Kind and Blue Side of the Collar execute a series of chill, but also mildly sludgy and heavily nostalgic moments that go way back to the roots of the blues. B-Siders Dirty Woman and The Man, both being the longest tracks of Blueside, take more seductive approaches. Northway’s smooth, gospel-like voice resurrects the spirit Robert Johnson throughout the process of The Man, carrying some incredible blues licks on the strings at the same time.
Overall, with what Child deliver in their second LP, it’s clear that they’ve given the most promising result of psychedelic acid blues music. The wisdom in their tunes feels nothing more than a prodigious product that makes them stand out from every other ensemble in this worldwide field of audio. This is what the true revival of blues and stoner music really sounds like, and plenty of Aussie bands of any genre may wanna watch out for what Child are able to conjure up in the studio. They just may surpass more than just a handful of them. With this record reaching out before the end of the year, it’s safe to say we have another contender that deserves to be in the top ten lists for 2016.

AN 11-YEAR-OLD boy weighing 30 stone and named the heaviest child in the world has had life-saving surgery after eating himself to near-death. Arya Permana from Karawang in West Java, Indonesia, weighed the same as six boys his own age and struggled to walk more than five minutes at a time. After years of over-feeding him, parents Ade and Rokayah Soemantri were eventually convinced that their young son had to have drastic surgery or he’d die. Travelling to the Omni hospital in Jakarta, Arya was the youngest person to ever undergo a five-hour gastric sleeve operation.
World's Heaviest Child: Extraordinary People airs on Thursday 1st June at 10pm on Channel 5.

Zoe broke several bones whilst she was still in the womb, shattered her collarbone during birth and broke another 100 bones before her first birthday. Now Zoe, who is six-years-old, has broken almost every bone in her body and was almost internally decapitated after bones in her neck began to wear away. Zoe lives with her mum Chelsea Lush, dad, Curtis Lush, and three year old brother Felix, in Huntington Beach, California.

My Child is Dreaming:
The idyllic world of children against adults' dreamlike visions.
When my daughter was born I bought my first diary.
In the beginning I was just taking notes of her progress, reactions and likes.
Then I began writing about my dreams as well.
After two years, I've collected all the most beautiful bits to create a video.
From such duality, a project called "My child is dreaming" was born.
It is an introspective journey full of metaphors and paradoxes that put in contrast the idyllic and enchanted world of children with adults' dreamlike visions, sometimes a bit pessimistic and obsessive.

Parental child - a real discussion about silenced issue
The video focuses on the 'sensitive', the 'Graduate' and 'gifted' child. These expressions may be misleading, since the child is not necessarily a talented child, but a sensitive and aware child. Child infancy identifies the needs of parents and adapts to them. The child gives up entirely of his innocent childhood, his true self and produces a 'fake me'. Subconsciously this child feeling that his parents will never like him for himself, just as fulfilling expectations.
Equally tragic is the situation of the parents, who make an effort, trying and trying, but fail to respond to the real needs of the child, they can't adapt themselves to him which only increase the suffering of both sides.
I hope my project will raise awareness among both:
- parents who are unable to understand the consequences for the child
- children who are unable to identify the phenomenon of parental child in their lives.
