Glen Travis Campbell (born April 22, 1936) is an American rock and country music singer, guitarist, songwriter, television host, and occasional actor. He is best known for a series of hits in the 1960s and 1970s, and for hosting a variety show called The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour on CBS television.
During his 50 years in show business, Campbell has released more than 70 albums. He has sold 45 million records and accumulated 12 RIAA Gold albums, 4 Platinum albums and 1 Double-Platinum album. He has placed a total of 80 different songs on either the Billboard Country Chart, Billboard Hot 100, and/or the Adult Contemporary Chart, of which 29 made the Top 10 and of which nine reached number one on at least one of those charts. Campbell's hits include his recordings of John Hartford's "Gentle on My Mind"; Jimmy Webb's "By the Time I Get to Phoenix", "Wichita Lineman", and "Galveston"; Larry Weiss's "Rhinestone Cowboy"; and Allen Toussaint's "Southern Nights".
Campbell made history in 1967 by winning four Grammys total, in the country and pop categories. For "Gentle on My Mind" he received two awards in country and western, "By the Time I Get to Phoenix" did the same in pop. Three of his early hits later won Grammy Hall of Fame Awards (2000, 2004, 2008), while Campbell himself won the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012. He owns trophies for Male Vocalist of the Year from both the Country Music Association (CMA) and the Academy of Country Music (ACM), and took the CMA's top award as 1968 Entertainer of the Year. In 1969 actor John Wayne picked Campbell to play alongside him in the film True Grit, which gave Campbell a Golden Globe nomination for Most Promising Newcomer. Campbell sang the title song which was nominated for an Academy Award.
A glen is a valley, typically one that is long, deep, and often glacially U-shaped, or one with a watercourse running through it. Whittow defines it as a "Scottish term for a deep valley in the Highlands" that is "narrower than a strath".
The word is Goidelic in origin: gleann in Irish and Scottish Gaelic, glion in Manx. In Manx, glan is also to be found meaning glen. It is cognate with Welsh glyn. The word is sometimes found in tautological placenames where its meaning was opaque to a new linguistic community, an example perhaps being Glendale (literally "valley valley") which is a combination of Norse "dale" and Gaelic "glen".
As the name of a river, it is thought to derive from the Irish word glan meaning clean, or the Welsh word gleindid meaning purity. An example is the Glens of Antrim in Northern Ireland where nine glens radiate out from the Antrim plateau to the sea along the coast between Ballycastle and Larne.
In the Finger Lakes Region of New York State, the southern ends of Seneca Lake and Cayuga Lake in particular are etched with glens, although in this region the term "glen" refers most frequently to a narrow gorge, as opposed to a wider valley or strath. The steep hills surrounding these lakes are filled with loose shale from glacial moraines. This material has eroded over the past 10,000 years to produce rocky glens (e.g. Watkins Glen and Treman State Parks) and waterfalls (e.g., Taughannock Falls) as rainfall has descended toward the lakes below.

Time I is the second full-length album by the Finnish metal band Wintersun. It was originally scheduled for release in November 2006, but ended up being marred by many delays. It was released on October 19, 2012 via Nuclear Blast.
As of the commencement of recording, Jari Mäenpää stated that the album length would run over 65 minutes, and that it would be a concept album. Furthermore, according to Mäenpää, the album's sound was to be highly intricate. Each song was said to contain about 200 tracks.
The album's complexity was one of the main reasons for its slow production process. As of April 2007, drums, bass and all the guitars had been recorded. Kai Hahto stated on the official site that due to studio intervention, progress was being made, but also announced that they would not be giving any more release dates at that time, so as not to disappoint fans if they were not met.
As a teaser for the upcoming album, Wintersun ended their Metalcamp 2008 set with a 15-second preview of "Sons of Winter and Stars".
My Mind is a 7-inch vinyl EP from Portugal. The Man. It was put out right after Church Mouth and includes "My Mind" as the A-side, which was featured on Church Mouth. A song exclusive to this release is the Church Mouth B-side "Seventeen". This Single has only been released on 7-inch vinyl. The Single was only available at tour stops in Germany in late 2007, however left over copies have been sold on Portugal. The Man's most recent tour for $10.00 USD. No digital or compact disc releases of this album have been discussed.

This was the first No.1 gold record for Glen Campbell (1970) re-arranged with a powerful orchestral backing from a version written by Conway Twitty and Jack Nance. It was also the first No. 1 for Conway way back in 1959. The song about unrequited love is about a man who plans and hopes - and even dreams for this woman to be his everything. Although he knows she is clearly not in love with him, he prays that some day she will be able care for him but laments that at present, "it's only make believe."
Written by John Hartford, which won two 1968 Grammy Awards. Hartford himself won the award for Best Folk Performance. The other award, Best Country & Western Solo Vocal Performance, Male, went to Glen Campbell for his version of Hartford's song. It was released in June 1967 as the only single from the album of the same name and reached # 30. It was re-released in July 1968 to more success. Glen Campbell's version has received over 5 million plays on the radio. Campbell used "Gentle on My Mind" as the theme to his television variety show, The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour between 1969 and 1972. However, Dean Martin's version, recorded in 1968, was more successful in terms of chart-position.

"By the Time I Get to Phoenix" is an American pop song written by Jimmy Webb and made famous by Glen Campbell, whose version reached #3 on the U.S. Pop charts in 1967. It was originally recorded by Johnny Rivers in 1965. Enjoy!

Glen Campbell was booked to come onto the last show of the first series of Weekend Wogan, May 2nd 2010. He had been booked weeks beforehand and because he was "Glen Campbell" he was asked to do four songs on the show as opposed to the three everyone else had been asked to do previously, what they were going to be was still undecided. So we get to the actual week of the show and myself and the show's producer Alan Boyd are still none the wiser as to what songs he is going to sing. He was touring the UK at the time and his management were proving rather tricky to get a hold of. Numerous emails, phone calls... nothing! Alan, Adrian Fry (my assistant musical director) and I were starting to worry that we wouldn't have arrangements written for the 11-piece band in time for the broadcast on the...

Glen Campbell went public in June with the news that he has Alzheimer's disease, and he's marking the twilight of his life with a surprisingly ambitious project. The country singer's final, revealing album, 'Ghost on the Canvas,' is out on August 30. By Rene Alston and Dan Macmedan.
From July 1979, Glen Campbell talks with Las Vegas Sun entertainment columnist Dick Maurice about Miss Tiny, the lady who took him under her wing in his early Albuquerque days; his love for his family; the discipline his father gave them when they were growing up in Delight; the importance of love over hate & revenge; the disparity of marijuana laws among different states. This interview appears to be incomplete.

From January 1988, this is the first ever joint interview with Glen Campbell & Jimmy Webb, according to the introduction. Glen gives a sneak preview of an upcoming (at that time) Jimmy Webb track, "Light Years", which became the title track of Glen's new album later that year.
Almost five years after his initial diagnosis, Glen Campbell is now in the final stages of Alzheimer's. Sources close to the country icon tell Rolling Stone Country that he has been in Stage Seven of the degenerative brain disease for some time now and is unable to communicate. Campbell is currently living in a Nashville memory care facility, where his family reports that music therapy has been particularly helpful. He's there with other people — doctors, lawyers — who are all facing the same thing. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/glen-campbell-in-final-stages-of-alzheimers-disease-20160308 http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit Entertainment using http://wochit.com

Home again I turned my collar to the wind started home again
Home again a place where I can find the friends that's home again
Well I've seen everything that I wanted to see
And I finally see what's important to me I'm going home I'm going home
Home again I've been too long upon my way this way don't pay
Home again too many names I can't recall it's coming home
Well I've done everything I thought I wanted to do
When each step I took took me far away from you I'm going home I'm going home
Home again I can't extend by even time joys ain't crime
Home again somehow I know there's time enough enough to love
Well I've had everything that I thought I would need
Now I'm going home I'm gonna try my hand of freedom
I'm going home I'm going home I'm going home
