A Griffith man will face court after allegedly being caught driving unlicensed, over the alcohol limit and with a large metal frame hanging over the roof of his ute.

ACT Policing pulled over the 52-year-old man after he was spotted travelling with a three-ute convoy on Fairbairn Avenue at about 11:10pm on Tuesday night.

The man, an unlicensed driver subject to a blood alcohol limit of 0.00, returned a blood alcohol concentration reading of 0.133.
The frame was being transported without a permit and measured about 5.5 metres wide and 6.5 metre long.

The man was issued an Immediate Suspension Notice and summoned to face court at a later date on charges including drink driving.
