Superfly is the debut studio album by Japanese band Superfly released on May 14, 2008. Approximately 391,182 copies have been sold in Japan and is certified Double Platinum by the RIAJ for the shipment of 500,000 copies. On the iTunes Store, a special remix of "Manifesto" by Ram Rider was included.
Superfly debuted at number 1 on the Oricon's weekly album charts; the last time a female artist had their first album debut at number 1 was Tina's Colorado in 1999.
Superfly is a New York-based entertainment and marketing company. They are the co-creators of Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival and the Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival.
The company was founded in 1996 by Jonathan Mayers, Rick Farman, Richard Goodstone and Kerry Black.
After gaining notoriety as hosts of after-hours events during the New Orleans Jazz Fest and Mardi Gras, Superfly's owners realized they had hit a plateau, unable to compete with big venues that could profit from alcohol and other sales in addition to ticket fees. They wanted to put on bigger events and came up with the idea of Bonnaroo.
Superfly's approach to the first Bonnaroo during the summer of 2002 was held in Murfreesboro, Tennessehe venue was remote. The bands were not chart toppers, and most remarkably, promotion was entirely done on the internet, with tickets only being available through their own website (a unique business concept at the time). The manager of Dave Matthews Band came on as an initial backer, simultaneously guaranteeing a headline act. Word of mouth drove 10,000 ticket sales in the first day of availability, and 70,000 total in 11 days. They had hoped to sell 40,000. To this day, Bonnaroo tickets are exclusively available through the company's website, and the festival has grown to be one of the world's largest musical events of the year every year.
Superfly is the third studio album by American soul and funk musician Curtis Mayfield, released in July 1972 on Curtom Records. It was released as the soundtrack for the Blaxploitation film of the same name. Widely considered a classic of 1970s soul and funk music, Super Fly was a nearly immediate hit. Its sales were bolstered by two million-selling singles, "Freddie's Dead" (#2 R&B, #4 Pop) and the title track (#5 R&B, #8 Pop). Super Fly is one of the few soundtracks to out-gross the film it accompanied.
Superfly, along with Marvin Gaye's What's Going On, was one of the pioneering soul concept albums, with its then-unique socially aware lyrics about poverty and drug abuse making the album stand out. The film and the soundtrack may be perceived as dissonant, since the Super Fly film holds rather ambiguous views on drug dealers, whereas Curtis Mayfield's position is far more critical. Like What's Going On, the album was a surprise hit that record executives felt had little chance at significant sales. Due to its success, Mayfield was tapped for several film soundtracks over the course of the decade.
WWE '13 is a professional wrestling video game developed by Yuke's and published by THQ (later by 2K Sports) for the PlayStation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360. It is the second game in the WWE (now WWE 2K) series and the 14th overall in the combined series. It is the sequel to WWE '12 and is succeeded by WWE 2K14. It was released on October 30, 2012 in North America and November 2, 2012 in United Kingdom. It is also the final WWE game to be published by THQ before the company's demise in January 2013, thus ending the WWE/THQ relationship after 13 years.
The game focuses on the Attitude Era of WWE, replacing its Road to WrestleMania Mode with an Attitude Era Mode where the player plays through the Attitude Era in six different storylines. The game also brings back its Predator Technology engine, adding in a new audio system called WWE Live. The game is said to be the second phase of a "Revolution" in WWE video games, with cover athlete CM Punk taking charge. Following its release, the game received favorable reviews and was nominated for the Spike Video Game Award for Best Individual Sports Game. This is also the last WWE game to be released on the Wii and (so far) on a Nintendo console, as the sequel WWE 2K14 and beyond have only been released for Sony and Microsoft consoles. The online servers for WWE '13 were shut down in December 2014.
WWE '12 is a professional wrestling video game developed by Yuke's and published by THQ for the PlayStation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360 systems. It is the first game in the WWE series and the fourteenth overall in the combined series. It is the sequel to WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 and succeeded by WWE '13. It is also the first game in the series developed exclusively for current generation home consoles. It was released on November 22, 2011 in North America, November 25 in the United Kingdom, and on January 26, 2012 in Japan.<ref name=Yuke's>"PlayStation®3用ゲームソフト WWE'12 日本語版公式サイト". December 31, 2011. The weak/strong grapple system from the past games has been removed. Characters now perform different moves based on their opponent's current physical state. Players now have a window of opportunity to attack while still in a downed state and can also interrupt moves and Royal Rumble eliminations with attacks. Similarly, the pinning meter from the past games has been reworked to make it more difficult to kick out as a wrestler takes more damage. The game's artificial intelligence has also been adjusted to prevent players from overusing the same move. In addition, the ability to store finishing moves has returned. A new feature called "Dynamic Comebacks" gives players on the verge of losing the opportunity to successfully hit a combination of moves to gain two finishing moves. New "wake up taunts" bring a downed opponent to their feet for a finishing move (such as Randy Orton pounding on the ground before his RKO finishing maneuver). Players also have the ability to target specific limbs during matches and perform submissions through a new "Breaking Point" submission minigame.
MIX, often branded on-air as Today's Mix, was a channel on XM Satellite Radio playing the Hot Adult Contemporary format. It was located on XM 12 (previously 22) and plays a mix of hit songs from 1980-present day, except for urban music. MIX was one of 5 channels on XM's platform that plays commercial advertisements, which amount to about 3–4 minutes an hour, and are sold by Premiere Radio Networks. The channel was programmed by Clear Channel Communications, and was Clear Channel's most listened to channel on XM Radio, in both cume and AQH, according to the Fall 2007 Arbitron book.
Artists heard on MIX included Sheryl Crow, John Mayer, Lenny Kravitz, Jewel and Nelly Furtado; and groups like Maroon 5 and Blues Traveler. One can also hear top chart hits including songs from Train, Alanis Morissette, 3 Doors Down, Evanescence, Dave Matthews Band, No Doubt, Santana, Matchbox Twenty, and U2.
On June 8, 2011, this was replaced by a simulcast by WHTZ, licensed to Newark, New Jersey and serving the New York City area.
KMXV ("Mix 93.3") is a Top 40 (CHR) station based in Kansas City, Missouri, United States. The Steel City Media outlet operates at 93.3 MHz with an ERP of 100 kW. Its current slogan is "Kansas City's #1 Hit Music Station". It is also one of two Top 40's competing in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area, the other being KCHZ. The station's studios are located at Westport Center in Midtown Kansas City, and the transmitter site is in the city's East Side.
The station was sold off by CBS Radio to Wilks Broadcasting in November 2006 as part of a nationwide reduction of radio stations by CBS. On June 12, 2014, Wilks announced that it is selling its Kansas City cluster (of which KMXV is part of) to Pittsburgh-based Steel City Media. The sale was approved on September 26, 2014, and was consummated on September 30.
The station began in 1958 as KCMK-FM (Kansas City, Missouri/Kansas), a classical station, but had several format changes (primarily country) over the next sixteen years. County DJ Jack Wesley "Cactus Jack" Call was at the station (from KCKN) for one week when he was killed on January 25, 1963 in a car crash. Singer Patsy Cline sang at a benefit for him at Memorial Hall (Kansas City, Kansas) on March 3, 1963. She was unable to leave Kansas City the next day because the airport was fogged in and was killed in a plane crash on March 5, 1963 en route from Fairfax Airport to Nashville.

If you find a new direction
And if you feel that I'm the one
Baby I'm too shy to mention
The way you always turn me on
If you need some close attention
And if you want someone to care
Communicate your intention
Say the word and I'll be there
And I don't understand
But I feel like a man
And nobody else can do
What you do to me
Do to me
Do to me Baby
Do to me
Do to me Baby
Do to me do do do to me
I said do to me do do do do to me
I'll offer you my dedication
Though what you do is hard to say
You make me feel a new sensation
Every time you look my way
I don't need your conversation
And I don't want your sympathy
Try to find an explanation
The way you do these things to me
And I don't understand
But I feel like a man
And nobody else can do
What you do to me
Do to me
Do to me Baby
Do to me
