SA land titles unit fetches $1.6b

SA Treasurer Tom Koutsantonis says the lands titles unit has fetched $1.6 billion.

A consortium comprising Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets and one of Canada's largest public sector pension funds has agreed to pay $1.6b for SA's lands titles registry and land services unit.

Wang Jianlin will now have time to reorganise the assets away from the glare of the public market.
