The Battle of Ligny (16 June 1815) was the last victory of the military career of Napoleon I. In this battle, French troops of the Armée du Nord under Napoleon's command, defeated a Prussian army under Field Marshal Blücher, near Ligny in present-day Belgium. The bulk of the Prussian army survived, however, and went on to play a pivotal role two days later at the Battle of Waterloo, reinforced by a fourth Prussian corps that was stationed at Liège. In contrast to Blücher's forces, the left wing of Napoleon's army did not join the decisive engagement. The Battle of Ligny is a prime example of a tactical win and a strategic loss. However, had the right wing of Napoleon's army succeeded in keeping the Prussian army from joining the British Army under Wellington at Waterloo, as the Emperor had planned, Napoleon might have won the Waterloo Campaign.
Quatre Bras (French for crossroads; literally "four arms") is a hamlet in the municipality of Genappe.
It lies on the crossroad of the Charleroi-Brussels road (currently named N5) and the Nivelles-Namur road South of Genappe in Wallonia, Belgium.
On June 16, 1815 near the crossroads of Quatre Bras, the Battle of Quatre Bras (part of the Waterloo Campaign) was fought between contingents of the Anglo-Allied army and the left wing of the French Army.
There are several monuments to the battle at Quatre Bras.

Hello everyone, it is the 201st anniversary of the battles of Ligny and Quatre Bras. I made an episode about these two battles last year, but the software I was using back then sucked dick, so I made this one with my current software. Which is a lot better. Now this episode has the same shitty audio from last year's episode, but it now has new and improved pictures!
My Quatre Bras save seems to have corrupted or something. Not sure what happened. So that series will be discontinued. So sorry :/
To commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Ligny and Quatre Bras, I made this little overview of the battles.

At the 2015 reenactment of the Battle of Waterloo, Belgium. Our video opens with a glimpse of the reenactment and a voice-over from Antony Mason, author of Waterloo & Beyond, a Bradt travel guide, sharing some insight. We then go behind the scenes, meet ‘Napoleon,’ visit the Allied and the French camps, ending with a few words from reenactors and some humour. - War is of course not something to be laughed at. Perhaps the better we humanity remember our past, the less likely we are to repeat acts of injustice going forward. This, the largest Napoleonic reenactment was for that exact purpose. Peace.
