Academy Award-winner Whoopi Goldberg ("Sister Act," "The Color Purple," "Ghost"), in a role Judith Crist called her "best dramatic performance to date," portrays a wise, warm and independent Jamaican housekeeper who becomes an unforgettable influence in the life of a young boy, (Neil Patrick Harris, TV's "Doogie Howser," who received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor in his film debut) providing him with affection, growth and gentle comic comfort to the harsh realities of his parents' divorce. Directed by Robert Mulligan ("Summer of '42") and written by Mark Medoff ("Children of a Lesser God"), the New York Daily News gives this movie ***l/2, and says Whoopi Goldberg"... proves once again that she's a fine actress.

One of the most critically-acclaimed films of the 80s, Children of a Lesser God garnered four Academy Award nominations and a Best Actress Oscar for Marlee Matlin. Based on the hit Broadway play, it's the uplifting love story of John Leeds (William Hurt), an idealistic special education teacher, and a headstrong deaf girl named Sarah (Marlee Matlin). At first, Leeds sees Sarah as a teaching challenge. But soon their teacher/student relationship blossoms into a love so passionate it shatters the barrier of silence that keeps them apart.
Samantha McLaughlin from All About Marilyn goes backstage with actors Erin Sullivan and Lena Georgas of Marilee and Baby Lamb. A play that is told thru the eyes of Marilyn Monroe's former employee, Lena Pepitone. Dennis D'Amico (Producer) interviewed Pepitone over the course of several years. This play is Mark Medoff's (Writer/Director) own interpretation of the Pepitone interviews and his creation of Marilyn Monroe. Says Medoff, "The Marilyn I've invented is a permutation rarely considered credible." The actors who are interviewed here are celebrated solely for their talent, professionalism and commitment to their craft. Marilyn Monroe herself would have celebrated her fellow actors. Although, Marilyn would have definitely had something to say about the script! ALLABOUTMARILYN.COM

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, I present to you a scene that I and my colleague, Eli Razo, acted in during my third term in IAFT. It's from Mark Medoff's play The Wager. I play Ron and Eli plays Leeds. So in this scene, my character, Ron, is wondering from his colleague, Leeds, if his wife, Honor, has been seeing other men. What follows is a lot of dialogue that contains a lot of philosophy and human life in general. So yes, we basically banter off of each other. I hope you all enjoy this well-written scene and feedback is very much appreciated.
